I was already worn out when I got back to my room. I took a quick bath and fell onto the bed, sleep taking me almost at once.
Less than two hours later, a strange presence filled my room. At first, I thought it was a nightmare. But the scent in the air told me it was not. Someone was really there.
In five years at Academy Sixth, no one had ever dared to enter my room without my permission. Not even my brothers.
They would never dare.
Yet tonight, after lights out, someone crossed that line. I was about to get up and kick his ass, whoever he was, and make an example of him. Then I felt the presence move closer.
It was familiar.
My heart skipped hard. A dark thought hit me at once. Did one of my brothers send someone to kill me?
It was not impossible. We had been trying to kill each other since day one.
Every one of them was a suspect. I would not even be shocked if they all agreed for once and decided to end me together.
