Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Century-Old Wound

A hundred years ago, the human world was shaken by a catastrophe that changed everything.

People call it the Incident of the Underworld Gate Opening.

Official records detail it as an accident—the deed of a heretic sorceress who unintentionally opened the door to the world of demons. From that rift, darkness spilled onto the earth. Demons flooded the lands, bringing nothing but death and destruction.

However, the history read aloud in the royal halls is only half the truth.

The three greatest magic kingdoms in the world chose to closely conceal the actual facts. For them, the incident was a disgrace.

For the revolutionaries, the heretic sorceress was a symbol of resistance against a rotten power.

From that secret was born the Legend of the Moon Goddess's Wrath. A forbidden tale hidden from the people's ears, yet kept alive by sects who believe the Goddess is still alive... waiting to return.

The Three Sacred Spears

Although the tragedy swallowed millions of lives, it also gave birth to heroes.

The three strongest magic emperors of their time, known as the Three Sacred Spears:

- Akihira Takemitsu of the Amateru Kingdom.

- Tsukasa Minazuki of the Tsukigami Kingdom.

- Raizen Arakami of the Kagutsuchi Kingdom.

It was they who led the final battle, driving the two strongest demon kings—Beelzebub and Lucifer—back into the depths of the underworld.

Since that day, their names have been etched as heroes. But time marched on. All those figures are gone.

What remains is a world that has not recovered... and wounds that never heal.

Harasawa: The Dying Village

Far in the barren territories, distant from the luxury of the three great kingdoms, stands a small village named Harasawa.

The land is arid. The dry air is mixed with poisonous gases from the underworld. Rainfall is almost non-existent.

There are no rice fields, no farms. Livestock die suddenly, their bodies blackened by the polluted air. Plagues crawl slowly, consuming lives one by one.

In this village lives a young man named Kazuki Tenma. He is only seventeen years old.

He lives with his grandfather in a small, dilapidated house. Previously, his grandfather managed everything.

But after being struck by the plague, all the burden shifted to Kazuki—caring for goats, selling them at the village market, and maintaining the house.

Just that alone is enough to make his back feel broken every day.

Harasawa is not the only one suffering. Seventy percent of the world is now in a similar state. Meanwhile, the three great kingdoms remain fertile and prosperous—too prosperous.

Shadows of Rebellion

This disparity gave rise to fury. The people of the barren territories demanded their rights, but their voices were silenced. From this disappointment, two forces emerged to oppose the kingdoms:

The Revolutionary Organization – A trained people's army that seeks to liberate the barren territories. They are considered insurgents, but to some, they are the true protectors.

The Kurohana Magic Mafia – A group that operates in the darkness, living for wealth. They despise the kingdoms, but also oppress the people.

The Kingdom, the revolutionaries, and the mafia hunt each other. Killing each other. Erasing each other's names from history.

The Legacy

All of this—poverty, plague, and shadow war—began with one figure: The Moon Goddess.

The heretic sorceress. The woman who opened the underworld gate a hundred years ago.

Until now, no one truly knows if she was a hero or a demon. What is certain is that this world has never returned to normal.

In the midst of this chaos, Kazuki lives. A teenager from the remote barren lands who has never seen green earth.

He doesn't know much about history... but one dream always burns in his heart:

To free Harasawa, even if he has to challenge the sky, the earth, and destiny itself.
