Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Lianhua slowly opens her eyes. Everything feels different yet familiar. Light is warmer, softer than her office fluorescent lights, the air smells faintly of incense or old wood, not coffee or leather, body feels small, pampered, soft—not her CEO-trained strength.

She blinked. The ceiling was high and ornate, the walls painted in soft colors she didn't recognize. Her hands… delicate, smooth, completely unlike her own. Panic rose. "What…?, where am I? Whose body is this?"

She notices her new reflection:

Her hair, her face, her body—not hers

Clothes: silk, frilly, feminine—pampered style

A faint bruise or bandage hinting at an accident

She tried to sit up—but a wave of pain shot through her body. Her head throbbed, her vision blurred. Memories flashed—the oil tanker, the explosion, the blackness and the memoriesof this body's previous owner. And now… she wasn't Lianhua Wei anymore.

She looks around and sees the worried faces of the General Haoran Wei and Lady Meilin Xu.

In her last life, her parents were dead. Now they are alive, standing before her.

Two figures hovered at her bedside, faces etched with worry. Her father's stern jaw, her mother's gentle eyes—alive. Her heart froze. "But… how?" she whispered.

Confusion about reality, grief from past life, fear of this new identity all flooded her.

"Miss… you fainted after the garden accident," a soft voice explained. Lianhua's eyes widened. Garden accident? That wasn't her life. This… this body… she had been transmigrated.

Lianhua's mind raced. Okay, deep breaths. First step: understand the situation. Second: survive in this body. Third… find out why.

She staggered to the mirror. The reflection staring back wasn't the Lianhua Wei who ruled empires—it was soft, delicate, and undeniably pampered. Frilly sleeves, silk ribbons, gentle curves… fragile. Her CEO instincts screamed: Not efficient. Not intimidating. Fix this. She touches her face, notices the small bruises and bandages from the garden accident. " now I have to play the act of a pampered, useless girl until I figure out this world" . Then she went back to bed to sleep, she was physically and emotionally drained, a good sleep would do.
