The oversized shirt she wore had ridden up slightly during the drive, exposing the smooth length of her legs, but Kade adjusted it with one hand before anyone could see more than was appropriate.
"The quarters are prepared, Alpha," Marcus said quietly.
"Medical staff are on standby in the west wing if needed. Minimal household staff as requested, just Elena and two others who've been briefed on discretion."
"Good," Kade replied, already moving toward the entrance.
"No one disturbs us unless it's an emergency.
And I mean actual emergency, territory breach, not pack politics or curiosity."
"Understood, Alpha."
Kade carried Dakota through the entrance and up the grand staircase that led to the private family wing. She was small and delicate in his arms, the fierce spirit he'd witnessed earlier completely subdued by exhaustion.
