That question immediately threw Ash and Tian into thought since it wasn't something that they had thought about , it was something that the society and many come to meet and just live with most especially Ash who had lived a few lives and hadn't really thought about it or maybe didn't remember doing so .
The question had so many variation to act as an answer but non seemed feasible "to protect form harm " Ash answered in a not to sure tone , Tian seemed somehow still lost in his thoughts "it is meant to eliminate" Lily answered with a pause to take a look at Tian who seemed to have totally spaced out.

Ash sat on his bed thinking of what Lily said and everything in a way made sense if not totally , he still insisted on his opinion though combat is a form of protection from harm but the harm in question could be in any form and so could combat ' you think too much ' her words echoed through his head as he tried to see real reason with her thought process but the more he tried the more his mind became more confused .
" damn it " he cursed out moving out of his bed , he was obviously tired but he was somehow unable to sleep due to the lingering thoughts , he needed something that could put him to sleep and leave him refreshed for the next day .His crafting materials was confiscated by Kruger who claimed that it was to help him concentrate leaving without anything to do at this time .
Without wasting time he left his room heading for the training ground , he didn't have the energy to be tossed around by Tian but he did have enough to waste if that could put him to sleep , that would be the reason he would have to use if anyone who found him at this hour outside but the truth was absolutely different : he was going back to where he was hit by the Hex.
It would have sounded stupid if anyone were to know what he was doing but he had a reason . he noticed that the effect usually happened when he was alone in the training hall, it almost never happens when people were around and anytime he fell into the said vision he usually lost track of time usually yo be knocked out after ten minutes which on the inside was about two hours .
Secondly he had not been to see the two people he found there the first time he went there but the immense inhuman pressure was still present leaving him usually powerless but this came as an advantage since as he noticed that the longer he could stay the more he improved both physically and mentally, it was a painful yes but it was worth it .
The oppressive feeling started the moment he walked into the hall sending chills down his spine but stopped abruptly making him surprised since it was the first time he had experienced something of such nature.
But the surprise didn't last long as the expectations were suddenly flipped by a new feeling that he couldn't understand ,the air suddenly turned oppressive and dark : a feeling that he could recognize anywhere ' killing intent ' which meant that there was someone in the same room presently which could explain why the feeling stopped.
he decided to move away, he didn't know who or what he was dealing with and sincerely he didn't want to know " going somewhere ?" a voice asked behind him followed by a sudden feeling that made him shiver something close to fear and immediately he moved away jumping as far as he could.
And there behind him was a man clad in everything black giving him a feeling that he couldn't really describe but everything in him told him to get from him and as far as possible " yes .... My dorm" Ash replied trying really hard to be as calm as possible but anyone who saw him would know that he was scared shitless.
" sorry its already too late for that " the man said calmly first taking a step towards Ash " why ? if I may ask ? I don't recall having anything to do with you " Ash replied giving him three more steps away , the man stopped for a moment and didn't reply before bursting into movement closing the distance between the both of them in a few seconds.
Ash on his part was taken by surprise and quickly tried to move away but was too slow taking a direct kick to his side sending him across the hall like a ragdoll.
his world was in pain even before his body hit the ground and the pain was no joke , but he couldn't dwell on the pain dragging his body into a roll narrowly escaping a blow that suddenly landed where his head was supposed to be a second ago.
He managed to get on his feet only for the man to be suddenly upon him with a punch straight to the face sending him into the air again with the pain but this time his vision was blood red and he could feel like his world was upside down ' I'm going to die ' that thought passed through his mind sending him into more panic.
He remained on the ground losing all the energy to fight ,The battle had been one sided since it started and his probability of surviving was zero to none if he fought back so he had something else in mind.
He managed to move his body getting into a fighting stance while his mind raced to all the possible ways for him to escape he did have the tracking collar but it wasn't meant to be used to alert anyone and only for vitals and even if his vitals were indeed unstable they would dismiss it as a kid being bullied even if it was serious.
The only way for him to communicate with anyone was a ren seed which he got one from lily and the other from the captain, there was only one with him and that was the captains which he took by accident but would be useless since he was away.
The Ren seed worked like an artifacts which are mythic enchanted items bearing different abilities, the Ren seeds came in pairs of two and have two use one of the uses is to track anyone with the second part while the second use is to act as an SOS signal to the person with the other part .
This would have been a good thing but apparently the captain wasn't around to help him and even if he did received the signal he would be dead before he arrived, h]e was given the seed just incase of he was hit by the Hex which he used behind his back but now he needed to use it as his last lifeline.
