Chapter 67 - Masterplan

"Most of the main buildings will be sealed by the security system." The robotic announcer continued, as the central tower they were in was now locked from the outside.

"Momo. Better be quick." Sukuna muttered as Momo created a launcher within the span of a second. Pulling the trigger, she launched a capsule out of it, as it shattered the glass before launching outside.

Momo then took out a gauntlet-like device, wrapping it around her as she started tapping the screen on it. The capsule popped out, revealing a large black drone that started scanning the whole island.

"This isn't good. There are villains at the reception party. The sponsors and scientists are taken hostage, and the pro heroes attending are binded by some sort of restraining device, including All Might." Momo revealed. The students' eyes narrowed, some gritting their teeth at the news. Sukuna glanced at Melissa.

"How strong are these restraining devices, Melissa?" He asked. Melissa swallowed a little before she spoke up.

"As you know, I-Island Security System's efficiency is on par with Tartarus'. Papa has designed these ropes to handle the likes of Uncle Might himself." Melissa revealed. Momo kept tapping on her device before her eyes narrowed.

"The security bots... it seems they're not following their supposed program at all. They're under control by the villains at the security room. The whole island is under hostage." Sukuna's eyes narrowed. By now, his parents should already have landed on I-Island's airport, as with most of their classmates attending the expo.

They needed to act now.

"No signal, and the elevator isn't working. Looks like we're taking the stairs." Todoroki muttered after having pressed the button to call the elevator multiple times.

"Melissa, the ringleader is taking your father and another researcher somewhere." Momo reported, her eyes narrowed at the screen on her wrist, watching what her drone was scanning. Melissa's eyes widened in horror.

"No no no—"

"Please calm down, Melissa." Izuku stood before her, his gaze serious.

"How do you expect me to be calm when my papa—"

"I know, Melissa. I know...." He sighed.

"But if we don't stay calm and form a plan, your father and countless others would be in grave danger. So please, try to be level headed for us." Melissa stared at him for a while before nodding, a determined expression taking over.

"Now that that's over with, would you mind telling us where the security system is?" Sukuna asked. Melissa nodded.

"It's at the top floor. If the villains have taken over the system, then the authentication locks and passwords should have been disabled. We should be able to restart the system."

"Oi! Where the hell are you guys?!" Uraraka took out her walkie talkie, hearing Bakugo's shouting from it.

"We're on our way to the security system, what about you and Kirishima?" Uraraka asked.

"We're kicking ass! That's what we're doing!" Bakugo shouted back, before everyone heard explosions from the device.

"Yup, they've already made contact." Momo muttered, looking at her device.

"Why am I not surprised..." Jiro grumbled, finding amusement in the dire situation.

"Who are these guys anyways? They're not just any random group of thieves if they can successfully invade a place like this." Todoroki pointed out. Momo blinked before creating another device, this time being a tablet.

"What are you doing?" Melissa asked.

"Trying to figure out the identity of the villain by cross referencing what my drone sees to the HSPC database." Momo explained.

"Wait? How do you have access to the HSPC database?" Iida looked at her, suspicion in his eyes. Momo only smiled awkwardly at him.

"Ehe~"

"Don't 'ehe' me Yaoyorozu! That's illegal and you know that!"

"No matter, Iida. What happens here stays here, it's that simple." Sukuna interrupted before Momo continued to speak, finding a match on the database.

"The ringleader's name is Wolfram. His Quirk is Metal Manipulation, allowing him to freely reshape and manipulate metallic material upon making physical contact with its surface." Momo reported.

"Alright then." Sukuna stepped forward a little, glancing at Melissa. "Do you know how to handle the security system?" He asked. Melissa nodded in response.

"Even though I don't have a Quirk, I'd like to help. So please, protect me until then." She stated. Sukuna smirked, while Mina patted Melissa's shoulder in support. Sukuna motioned Uraraka to hand him the communication device to which she did.

"Oi Bakugo."

"What?! You guys are going to the control room right?!" Bakugo yelled, blasting back a henchmen with one arm, while holding the walkie talkie with the other.

"What floor are you on?" Sukuna asked. Bakugo narrowed his eyes, as another group of henchmen approached, but were dealt by Kirishima's overwhelming brute strength.

"What floor are we on?!" Bakugo yelled, blasting towards another henchman and sending an explosion straight to his face.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?! This place has like 200 floors!" Kirishima shouted back. Bakugo gritted his teeth, before raising his device again.

"I don't know! But there's like a bunch of plants here!" Bakugo shouted at the walkie talkie.

"Plants...." Melissa widened her eyes before nodding. "They're at the plant factory. The scientist study the effects quirks have on plants there. It's on the 80th floor."

"We're coming, hang in there." Sukuna muttered before looking at his group.

"Right now Bakugo and Kirishima are serving as a distraction. We need to move up the stairs fast. I know it sucks, but currently it's the only option we have. I don't know what that Wolfram guy is planning or how he thinks, but I certainly don't want him to execute the hostages because he sees another threat on his hands." He saw no disagreements to his plan. Sukuna nodded.

"Let's move."

"Right!"

...

"You alright? Should I use my Quirk on you?" Uraraka asked Melissa as they ran up the stairs, now having arrived at floor 60.

"No... it's fine. This is nothing to me, I'm a pro at stair master, ya know?" Melissa said, but everyone could tell that she was out of breath. The girl had took off her heels a while ago, and her appearance looked disheveled, a far cry to her angelic appearance previously.

"Are you sure—"

"Yes. They say that Quirks are like muscles, and like muscles overusing it can be very problematic. So please save your Quirks until you really need it." Melissa gave them a thumbs up, All Might style.

"If she insists, then let's not argue with her." Sukuna muttered as they continued dashing up the stairs. A while later, they had arrived at the 80th floor.

"A shutter?" Todoroki asked, ready to bring out his flames if he needed to destroy it. Momo stepped in, shaking her head.

"No need, we've already arrived at where Bakugo and Kirishima are. We regroup with them first before we move upwards." Momo suggested, holding up her tablet she previously created, as she stood near the door connected to the main section of the floor. They watched as the black haired girl tapping on her tablet with a serious gaze.

"And done." Momo smiled a little as the door automatically opened, and no alarm was triggered.

"But the cameras are still working, aren't they?" Melissa tilted her head. Momo shook her head, pointing at the screen on her wrist.

"That's where my drone comes in. It's gives off false images to the surveillance system, making the operators think that there's no one there. Right now, Bakugo and Kirishima must be relaxing near the plant factory, while the rest of the villains are sent on a wild goose chase." Momo explained.

"Wow.... That's so cool!" Melissa complimented, stars in her eyes. Momo shook her head.

"No... I just have very good teachers." She replied, thinking about Aizawa and the rest of the UA faculty. As they entered the main section, they arrived in the plant factory in no time.

"You bastards sure took your time." Bakugo grumbled, as he and Kirishima watched the group approach him. Around them, there were tons of Wolfram's henchmen lying on the ground unconscious.

"Are you alright?" Melissa asked them. Bakugo waved her off.

"These extras didn't even make me sweat that much." He replied before looking at Sukuna.

"I didn't realize you could be this stealthy." Bakugo commented in amusement. Sukuna shrugged.

"Trust me man, I'm having a hard time controlling myself." He replied. Momo hummed as she worked on her wrist device.

"Looks like we're going loud from this point. The villain's have sent the security drones to cover floors 130 and abovs. They've already figured out they're being counterattacked, and are now trying to trap the attackers." Momo sighed to herself.

"I thought you hacked the place." Mina tilted her head.

"Yes, but I didn't say they would be fooled by it. People also get paranoid when things go too smoothly." Momo shook her head. "No matter, we're almost there anyways."

"Uh, is your math working? We still have over a hundred floors left." Mina deadpanned at her.

"I'm just trying to be optimistic." Momo deadpanned in return, before pointing at the elevator.

"We take the elevator up to the 130th floor, and from then on the true uphill battle starts."

" Right!"

...

"Man, those are a lot of bots." Denki muttered as they looked into the laboratory of the 130th floor, swarmed by patrolling bots.

"How strong are they, Melissa? Can they handle, say, 2 million volts of electricity?" The yellow haired teen asked her. Melissa shook his head.

"I don't think it's going to take them down. Papa thought of every possibility after all, including someone hacking into them." She looked apologetically at Momo who shook her head.

'Man, there's no telling that those bots could be defeated even if I did go over my 2 million limit. I'm not going into 'dumb mode' no matter what!' Denki thought to himself. He now has the ability to remain himself even after discharging 2 million volts, but even so, this was risky.

"Mina." Sukuna called her. Mina gave him a thumbs up as she kicked the door down. Melissa watched as Mina catwalked in calmly, like she was in a runway as the bots swarmed her.

"Sukuna, what is Mina's Quirk?" Melissa questioned.

"Acid." Sukuna replied.

"But the bots, they're also acid resistant..." Melissa muttered. Sukuna snorted, shaking his head.

"Don't worry, Melissa. Mina's acid is much corrosive than the ones you're used to seeing." As he spoke. Mina clapped her hands together, as she turned up the acidity of her Quirk to the absolute maximum.

Mina grinned a little, firing a condensed line of acid towards the bots at high speeds. The acid tore through the bots, before it started corroding them. In just a few seconds, the horde was defeated without a sweat.

"Hah! Take that, clankers!"

To be continued.....

(Momo be acting like Batman in this chapter with all those gadgets.)
