But there was something missing from those tombs, something I couldn't shake from my mind. I pressed my wolf for answers, my thoughts sharp with curiosity. The records show nothing about wolves having multiple mates. Nothing documented, anyway.
My wolf's presence shifted in my consciousness, her tone carrying an ancient weight that made my spine tingle. The tombs only capture the stories that were meant to be told, she replied. They do not hold the deeper truths that some wolves have always carried.
