Megan thought she heard it wrong. Madam Eliza? Ezekiel's mother?
Even Linda was surprised, but she stood firm on her goal.
Madam Eliza glared at Ezekiel and snorted. "As if I didn't know you would always do things your own way."
She looked at Linda and sighed. "Don't worry. He will do what you want him to do, okay?" She forced a smile and went toward Adam.
Linda narrowed her eyes slightly, still holding the gun.
For some seconds, she hesitated.
Then she gave a small signal.
Her bodyguards stepped back but did not lower their guard.
Adam was still rubbing his ear when Madam Eliza dragged him toward the door.
"Ouch! Madam… it hurts!"
"Good!" she snapped. "Maybe pain will help you think!"
She shot Ezekiel a glare. "You. Office. Now."
Then she smiled at Linda. "Follow me, dear."
Megan cleared her throat and quickly tagged along. "Everywhere she goes…"
