CHAPTER 89: THE NETWORK
Selene's POV
Felix had been building the map for three weeks.
Not the territorial map — that one had been on the wall of the tactical room since before I arrived, the pack boundaries and border notations updated weekly by Ronan's careful hand. This was a different kind of map. The kind that didn't show land but showed connection — who was aligned with whom, what had been promised to whom, the invisible architecture of obligation and incentive that Garrett had been constructing while the covenant packs had been looking at the territorial picture.
He spread it across the central archive table on the morning after the first diary's final entry, the day after I had told Damon I was ready, with the particular focused energy of someone who had been waiting to show this to the right people at the right moment.
