Not long after Serena Hughes left, Chloe Sutton received a call from her father. "Chloe, the company... I think we'll have to file for bankruptcy."
Hearing her father's words, Chloe Sutton quickly tried to comfort him. "Dad, just wait a little longer. I've asked someone for help."
"It's too late. I know someone is deliberately targeting our company this time. They won't stop until they've driven us into the ground." There was a note of despair in Mr. Sutton's voice.
With that, Mr. Sutton hung up.
A bad feeling welled up in Chloe Sutton's heart.
"Chloe, what's wrong?" Seeing her friend's pale face, Cecilia Nathan's mood sank as well.
She and Chloe had been university roommates. Although they had different majors, they had always been very close.
"My dad said our company has no choice but to file for bankruptcy... Cecilia, what do I do? I'm so scared he'll do something rash." After speaking, Chloe Sutton hugged Cecilia Nathan and burst into tears.
