Synopsis
Ranuh is a world grievously broken—one that once held countless wonders, now drowned in suspicion and dread. It began when the Prophet proclaimed a great contest, a trial announced to all realms, many years ago. From that hour, the bonds between kingdoms and peoples began to rot, and hope thinned to a whisper—especially after the entire population of the most advanced kingdom vanished without a trace. Yet there is one place where such tidings never reached: The remote city of Rot Rivelo—an island refuge of hunters. And among them walks Hans, a half-elven man, marked by fate: the last light the cosmos has left to restore the world to what it once was, and to end a war without end. This is the beginning of his journey. The beginning of everything. ---- The Prophet spake— not in mercy, but in dread command. A trial was hurled, blade-keen, into the flow of ages, and the world was cleft where it descended. Kingdoms forgot their own blood. Oaths withered and became sepulchers. And the brightest realm— that which dared lay hand upon the morrow— was unmade, as though devoured by a god who would not suffer it to be remembered.

Chapter 1 - Foreword

In one of the many dimensions that exist within the vast cosmos, there is a universe whose world has been crumbling for many years. That world is known as Ranuh.

The world of Ranuh is currently inhabited by two kinds of beings. While in other civilizations the world was once ruled by beasts such as giant reptiles, here it is dominated by gnu and meineshia.Gnu is the term used for monsters—ferocious and deadly creatures, generally four-legged beasts.Meineshia, on the other hand, are more intelligent beings. Their high adaptability, solid communication, and critical way of thinking have allowed them to dominate this world. Meineshia are further divided into several races, including Elves, Gnuial, Undead, Dwarves, Ogres, Trolls, and Humans.

So what are meinesshia? They are beings capable of logical thought. They stand on two legs, walk upright and with purpose. At least, that is what the word means in the language of Ekruksia.

Ekruksia itself was a kingdom that once stood for centuries. Possessing the largest population of meinesshia, it became the most expansive kingdom in the world of Ranuh. Its language served as the most important trade and common tongue throughout the land. It was no surprise that many sought to migrate to Ekruksia, for it was prosperous and well-governed. Yet, for reasons unknown, the entire population of the kingdom vanished suddenly.

Since the great trial proclaimed by the Prophet of the Heavens, the kings of the four greatest kingdoms disappeared as well. No one knows what became of them. All were summoned according to the Prophet's divine decree, an era remembered as Era Hikara. The Prophet himself was a being tasked with bridging mortal spirituality and the Cosmic Will. He had lived for thousands of years. His words were absolute. The meinesshia believed the Prophet to be the intermediary between the physical world of Ranuh and a higher realm known as Divinia.

With the disappearance of Ekruksia's entire population, a cold war soon turned into open conflict. Kingdoms that refused to accept the loss of their kings began accusing one another. Known as a land of immeasurable wealth, Ekruksia was said to hold treasures beyond imagination. According to legend, it concealed three of the strongest materials in existence:the Core of the Mana Particle, the Heart of the Enchanted Stone, and the Seed of the Fruit of Life. Each possessed power beyond comprehension. To this day, no one has managed to find even one of them.

The world fell into ruin due to war—most severely within Ekruksia itself, which became the battlefield of the four remaining kingdoms. The endless conflict plunged Ranuh further into darkness and devastation. At last, Ranuh could no longer endure the torment inflicted by the meinesshia.

Through the prophecy of Baba Tonga, a legendary seer, Ranuh revealed its will. The world would choose a sovereign—one who would rule over kings, restore peace, end the war, and rebuild the bonds between fractured kingdoms. This figure would come to be known as Era Hakeka: the World King, following the Prophet who bore the title Era Hikara.

These two roles are the only ones known to the people of the world.Yet there is one more—unknown, hidden by the cosmos itself.

Era Hareba:The Chosen One.
