Gordon sighed heavily...
He understood why his brothers would hunt her. He would have than the same if her sister wasn't already taken.
And yet he just couldn't let go, they had almost harmed his bride.
He had the perfect gift for them too... His smirk shrank when he stared at his bloodied knuckles.
Tsk... They got him dirty. He looked to the side to find his men standing and awaiting his next orders...
"Clear the bodies, we've got to find someone."
.....
A few minutes later, a single black BMW screeched to a stop at a shady looking building. However that was only a cover for what really hid underneath the supposedly old abandoned pawn shop.
Heading down in the descending elevator, Gordon couldn't help but tap his feet in annoyance, he was not willing to waste even a second of his night. He had a bride awaiting his return now.
Well a soon to be bride however that was only a matter if time.
Now he had to deal with some very ignorant people.
Reaching the underground city that was stationed beneath the old pawn shop, his eyes regained their unquestionable cold glint. Slowly watching and searching, he could tell the people surrounding him froze, the sense of a more dangerous being does that to people.
Dragging the corpse they'd brought along, he heaved it upwards the dead head of the man falling numbly from it's neck.
"Dineró, you own this corpse?"
His eyes searched the crowd looking for his target for the day, the leader of that search guild.
There... His eyes narrowed when he saw the slow movement in the back of the gathering crowd, his prey was trying to run... Funny how he thought he could.
Peew!! The ghost like movement had almost scared everyone shitless, they saw nothing, nothing at all... How.... when... When did he take out the gun and looking at the fallen guy at the back of the crowd...how could he be so precise too...
As though sensing the foreboding danger, the crowd parted for the approaching man, if one was stupid enough to not sense the danger, well the corpse of the man that was haphazardly tossed aside once again could even teach a fool this guy was dangerous.
His slow calculate steps reached the man who dared not wail or yell as he tried to hold onto his f*cked up ankles. The man on the ground was not at all to be messed with. He was the leader of the search guild that fought for the chance to take over that mission. His eyes moved around, calculating and thinking, who had he offended, what mission had cost him this much and why did this powerful man look so familiar.... And as though on cue the memory of his snatching the mission from his buddy the day before flashed across his eyes. But that couldn't be... That was a mission from the Darcens, they didn't hunt family, and that girl would definitely not be walking around their streets if she was owned by a Darcen. Then what was happening,... Damnit!!
"Gordon, Brother! It's nice to see you here....
May I know why you have a gun to my man's head?"
Gordon hearing that voice forcefully tore his eyes away from the guy silently moaning at his feet. His eyes following the voice to find a familiar face a face that had some features similar to his....
Eugene Darcen... A member from the world above, what was he doing here in the underworld.... He owned one of the countless branches that held the image of the Darcen family as only an ancient old money family doing all things good and right in the eyes of society.
However that was not why his expression change at the sight of Eugene, looking at this particular member of his family, Gordon's surprised and pissed eyes had a hint of pity in the them. Eugene was maybe one of the few popular guys in their generation.
The man had fallen for the wrong bride, wrong because he just had to go and choose a woman who had an entire assassin squad shielding her, she also had to be so strong headed too. He was the first to use their family's hidden rooms for his bride... Those rooms were built differently compared to the ones every Darcen kept in his castle for taming a stubborn bride. The woman had refused to budge though, he remembers how the man had almost opted for the forget me drug, however that woman would've probably found a way to off herself before she had her entire memories erased.
He wondered if the guy would ever find the love he seeked, somehow he even rooted for him.
But what was Eugene doing bhere without taming his bride.
"Eugene... it's been a while, his voice had visibly softened..."
Eugene could probably tell the change in Gordon's disposition as his expression subtly sunk. He didn't like that everyone looked at him that way, even during their family gatherings, one day he was going to rid himself of those sympathizing gazes, he was going to walk into their annual gathering with an obedient and in love bride on his arm. He could vow that.
"Should we have a little chat brother?"
Eugene beckoned leading Gordon away from the messy scene. Eugene stared at the bleeding guy for a while before he walked away. However just as the guy was about to heave a good sigh of relief ...
Peew!.. the sound of the silencer was heard again as the gun in Gordon's hands emitted the fumes of a job well done. The bullet directly piercing the guy's head, silencing him for life.
Eugene didn't bother turning around, he only shook his head. Guess he'd thought right then, this matter was probably about the King of the underworld's chosen bride.
