Being loved, being cared for, being wanted being needed, soft handed caresses after a hectic day, a simple I miss you, a little kiss, whom would've thought those little things could bring a Darcen to his knees.
....
This was not fair! At this point it was not even a competition! They were supposed to play a game of hitting the target to decide what food or drinks was going to be used for their date night. She had suggested the idea thinking it would be fun trying to hit the target. Who would've thought she'd not be able to hit even one. Worse was the fact that they had even decided to let her win at some point and she still couldn't make the ball fall in the pitch they'd made on the counter.
Leaning on the table with arms spread apart and loose strands falling in disarray, she let out huge regretful sigh. She has given up. They would choose her favorite things anyway. They'd done that through out the game.
"Just choose the drinks yourselves. I won't make it anyway.."
Looking at the dejected expression and pouted lips of the girl who had decided to occupy the table they played on, the two men couldn't help but grin. Their grins bubbling into subtle laughter and then hysteric and heaving hearty laughs.
"What are you laughing at huh? Tell me what is so funny?"
At her angry and yet childish outburst, their laughter slowly downed to endearing smiles.
Don stared at his brother, his eyes reflecting the same words in his twin's .
Their wife was too cute. And maybe they should be doing something other than watching movies. Something more interesting.
" Hey! Stop that. I told you, I hate when you two do that okay..."
"Do what Pur.." Before she could finish her very concerning statement, Don's hands had reached for her pointing and accusatory one.
Leaving lingering kisses and soft bites on the outstretched arm, his eyes bored into hers, daring her to look away. Don's dimmed silver grey eyes were something Purple had come to love and obsess with at some point. The way they glistened when he laughed, the subtle lowering when he was suspicious, their mustiness when he was satisfied, and how deeply they darkened when he wanted her.
Right now, those were the eyes that stared into hers. Deep and pleading.
"Yes, tell me little purple, what is it you don't like about your men?"
Dan's warm breath cascaded down the side of her neck, deep, misty and friendly, sometimes she thought it had a lethality to it. Or maybe she was just imagining things. But she knew that voice, that enchanting beckoning, Dan had that way of talking, a voice that demanded to be believed to be trusted and abided. But she'd gotten so used to all of this to fall for their attempts again.
Tugging the arms that surrounded her away, she pushed both men to face her. She knew she couldn't have done that with her silly little strength and maybe she liked the fact that they let themselves be handled like that by her.
What followed was a comically cute scolding. A small and petite woman poking at the chests of men almost twice her size as she scolded them with their heads bowed in dissatisfaction and frustration. Frustration because they hadn't gotten their way this time around. Should they change tactics?
"You know what I'm talking about. You and you, having that silent conversation without me! I told you it makes me feel lonely! And yet you go ahead and do it...*#*#*##*#*#*#*#*#*#*#...
I am choosing the drinks tonight! Humph! And I'm going to make coffee shakes!"
She knew they hated her self invented drinks, especially her coffee shakes. The coffee shakes were a mixture of coffee, cocoa powder, caramel and lots of vanilla. She liked the weird way it tasted on her tongue. But they hated it and they couldn't hide that fact now as their faces contorted with terror.
