Chen Chen pursed his lips. "Nah, I'm not that free. Besides, I can't fly around like you. If I were to fight crime, I'd probably get taken to the police station for a chat."
Parker looked a little disappointed, but he didn't press the issue. Everyone has their own path, and Chen Chen was right. Without enough mobility, it's easy to get cornered by the police.
Then, Chen Chen added, "But, if you encounter a tough opponent, you can come to me for help. I'm always happy to help a friend."
He was indeed happy. These supervillains were all food for his evolution.
"Okay, but I'm worried about that big lizard causing trouble again. I'll go patrol a bit."
Parker simply changed his clothes and then left from the window.
Chen Chen watched Spider-Man's receding figure and stroked his chin. Logically speaking, for Majin Buu, flying should be an instinct. Why didn't he have the ability to fly yet?
Running around on the ground was a bit too dumb. Could it be because his Majin stage was too low? He hoped that after advancing to Stage Four, he would get a surprise!
Over the next few days, Chen Chen did nothing. He was eating almost twenty-four hours a day. He planned to store up some bio-energy before Professor Lizard showed up again, to use as a raw material for 'Potential Release'.
Three days later, while Chen Chen was watching TV out of boredom, Peter Parker's aunt, the old lady Aunt May, suddenly knocked on the door with the house's landline phone.
"Chen, Parker is on the phone for you. He seems to have something urgent."
Chen Chen took the phone. On the other end, Peter Parker said anxiously, "Chen, that big lizard has appeared again. He's actually Dr. Connors! He wants to use the Canary Device to destroy this city. I need your help!"
Chen Chen narrowed his eyes and immediately agreed, "Alright, where are you? I'll head over right now!"
"Osborn Building, come to the Osborn Building quickly!"
"I'm on my way!"
Chen Chen hung up the phone. He naturally knew what the Lizard Professor was planning. The professor wanted to use the Canary Device's function to spray the serum across the entire city, turning all of New York's citizens into Lizard-Men.
This was a textbook villain move!
Chen Chen was just about to leave when he suddenly turned back. He closed all the doors and windows in Parker's house and instructed Aunt May:
"Aunt May, you must stay home and not open any doors or windows until Parker and I return. Also, tape up any gaps in the rooms. Don't go outside. There will be rioters spreading poison gas in New York tonight!"
"Don't worry! Even if you didn't say anything, I wouldn't go out. I'm an old bone; there's nowhere to go!" Aunt May, though confused, still agreed.
Chen Chen nodded, then rushed towards the Osborn Building with all his might.
On the other side, perhaps because he took the time to make a phone call with Chen Chen, Parker reached the top of the Osborn Building, and Dr. Connors loaded the Lizard Serum into the Canary Device more easily than in the original story.
