The ugly, jagged red chains wrapped tightly around Nikki's glowing golden form. They squeezed her like a giant snake, pulling her deeper into the freezing, dark purple water of the digital sea.
Adonis, a towering giant made of brilliant blue fire, swam after her as fast as a comet.
"Let her go!" Adonis roared.
His voice was like thunder in the empty void. He grabbed the thick red chains with his glowing blue hands. His protective light burned so hot that the red chains hissed and shattered into pieces, turning into harmless black ash.
But for every chain he broke, two more shot out from the dark shadows. The cruel virus wasn't just a single monster; it was a swarm. It was an evil, hungry trap built by a man who hated love. The jagged red vines whipped through the water, snapping and biting at them from every side.
Adonis wrapped his massive blue arms around Nikki, shielding her from the attacks.
