Chapter 22 - Whirlpool Empire cap 22

The Third Raikage didn't know what to do next.

Even without Gin Uzumaki's intervention, the battle power of the Uzumaki clan was terrifying.

In addition to the battle against the ninjas of the mist on the shores of the land of fire, the other villages and countries began to receive details of the fall of the land of water through messages sent by their spies.

The Third Raikage could not think of any way the Cloud Village could defend itself against the Uzumaki, who apparently had more than 20,000 shinobi that they could easily deploy.

And all of them capable of using such powerful techniques.

Unlike the land of earth and wind, the land of lightning is 'close' to the land of whirlpool, so they would be the first to receive reprisals from the Uzumaki clan.

"Dodai, what do you think we should do?" asked the Third Raikage.

Dodai was an intelligent person, which is why the Third Raikage valued his opinion, and hoped that his advisor had some ideas.

But to the disappointment of the third raikage, Dodai shook his head.

"Third Lord, the strength shown by the Uzumaki clan makes it impossible for us to face them head-on by ourselves."

"We would have to join forces with the Rock and Sand Villages to be able to face them."

"Since they also joined forces to exterminate the Uzumaki clan, they must be nervous about the fall of the Land of Water."

"With the help of the two villages, we can face the Uzumaki clan."

"But…" Here Dodai paused for a moment, and the Third Raikage knew why.

'Gin Uzumaki' thought the Raikage.

And as the third raikage expected, Dodai mentioned the Uzumaki patriarch.

"The existence of Gin Uzumaki destroys any hope of defending ourselves"

"He has already easily defeated 20,000 shinobi"

"It would be pointless to reunite with the other villages if Gin Uzumaki appears and destroys our armies."

"Furthermore, with the loss of 5,000 shinobi, the village is now only at half its strength."

"Not to mention the resources that were mobilized, the village's losses are not something we can recover quickly."

The Third Raikage's concern grew as Dodai continued to speak.

To start a war, the necessary resources were not a small amount.

The Third Raikage had to get the village back on its feet quickly, but Gin Uzumaki's existence was a headache.

'It seems I will have to visit the Daimyo in person,' thought the Third Raikage.

With Gin Uzumaki in existence, the Third Raikage will not be at ease, so he must make the Daimyo release a large amount of resources for the village.

"The only thing we can do is send a group of diplomats to the land of whirlpools and appease Gin Uzumaki," Dodai finished.

"I will go to the capital and speak with the Daimyo," said the Third Raikage as he stood up.

Getting the village back on its feet and enabling them to sign a treaty with the Land of Whirlpools required the Daimyo's cooperation, so the Third Raikage thought of making a trip to the capital and resolving this quickly.

It wasn't just the Raikage who had a headache.

As Dodai deduced, the leaders of the Sand Village and the Rock Village also had a headache.

Unlike the Daimyo who think they can solve all their problems through treaties and will only have to lose some resources, the village leaders had to find some quick way out of their current problems.

The land of the wind was mostly desert, and although they had mineral resources, most of their wealth was spent on importing food.

Water scarcity also makes it difficult to thrive.

The leaders of the Sand Village could already guess that the resources given by the Daimyo would decrease in the future.

The only good news recently was that the third Kazekage appeared and did not die at the hands of the Uzumaki patriarch.

"What is the situation like on the borders?" asked the Third Kazekage as he sat down and tried not to show his weakened state.

While escaping that rain of lightning, he used up all his available iron powder and still sustained injuries before making it out of the kill zone.

The best doctors in the village have spent the last few days examining and healing his body from the aftereffects of the wounds he received while fleeing.

The doctors said he should rest, but the Kazekage had to appear strong to his subordinates.

"The borders with the land of fire remain stable"

The one who answered was Ebizo, a powerful puppeteer and member of the village council.

"It doesn't appear that the Leaf Village is planning to launch an attack."

"The only problems we're having are with the Rain shinobi, who are demanding that we withdraw from their borders."

"Well, as long as the leaf doesn't act, we'll keep the situation as it is," said the Third Kazekage with a sigh of relief.

Given his current condition, he will not be able to fight in a prolonged battle for the time being.

The meeting continued as the Kazekage listened to the state of the village and the world while giving orders.

The meeting ended, but the Kazekage was not at ease when he saw an ANBU approaching with a message.

The Kazekage guessed who it was from and read it quickly.

As expected, it was from the capital and details the cuts in resources that the village would receive next year.

But the Kazekage did not complain because the Daimyo would have to pay for the resources that the Land of Whirlpools would demand in the future.

Since they were farther away from the whirlpool country, they believed that the whirlpool country would demand resources and not go to war.

North of the Land of Wind, the Village Hidden in the Rock had its own problems with the disappearance of the Second Tsuchikage.

Unlike the third Raikage and the third Kazekage, the second Tsuchikage did not appear even after a long time.

As the days passed and they heard no news, they could only sadly accept the passing of the second Tsuchikage.

With the death of the Second Tsuchikage, the village had to choose the third Tsuchikage and it was Onoki, the disciple of the Second Tsuchikage, who was chosen.

Grieving over the death of his master, Onoki had to take charge and try to stabilize the village.

But unbeknownst to anyone, Onoki was secretly practicing with the goal of achieving the Dust element that his master taught him.

"...You have to understand, Tsunade."

"The teacher couldn't do anything"

"Furthermore, things ended well; the Uzumaki clan is safe."

In the Leaf Village, three people

They were walking out of the Hokage Tower.

The three were disciples of the third hokage, and the one speaking was Jiraiya, who was trying to mediate the problems his master was having with Tsunade.

They had just left the Hokage Tower after completing a bandit extermination mission in a nearby city, but Tsunade refused to speak to Hiruzen and left immediately after submitting her report.

Trying to help his master, Jiraiya wanted Tsunade to understand her position as Hokage.

"Don't get involved in this, Jiraiya, this is none of your business."

Jiraiya did not expect Tsunade's cold response and did not know what to say.

Sigh*

After seeing Jiraiya's dejected state, Tsunade sighed and spoke again.

"I'm sorry for being harsh, but the Uzumaki clan is safe on its own merits, after being abandoned by the Leaf," Tsunade said irritably.

The number of shinobi from the four great villages who wanted to eradicate the Uzumaki clan was such that it was impossible for Tsunade that the Leaf Village had not found out.

And while talking with her grandmother, Tsunade became even more upset when she learned that the village hadn't even notified the Uzumaki clan about the alliance of the other villages.

The fact that the Third Hokage used the excuse that the village couldn't do anything was even more annoying to Tsunade when you consider that the village didn't warn the Uzumaki clan of their possible annihilation.

It was obvious to Tsunade that her master had decided to use the Uzumaki clan to temporarily stop the four great villages.

"Who would have known that the Uzumaki clan was so strong?" said the other member of the trio, Orochimaru.

They recently learned of the strength of the Uzumaki clan, who conquered the land of water with overwhelming force.

"Yes, it's surprising."

"I believed that the Senju and Uchiha clans were the strongest clans during the era of clan warfare."

"I've never heard anywhere that the Uzumaki clan has accomplished great feats," Jiraiya said.

The Senju and Uchiha clans were recognized as the strongest for their feats of defeating several clans at the same time, and could only fight on equal terms against each other.

In contrast, the Uzumaki clan was very low-profile, only known as experts in fuinjutsu.
