Gu Zihan watched Gu Chenyu and Lin Meiyin work together like a loving couple, people would really envy their kind of relationship. If it was acting then they were really good at it, Gu Zihan wondered how much Gu Chenyu paid Lin Meiyin to act this way. Lin Meiyin can't love another man, she had only him in her heart. Watching them made his heart tremble he felt jealous why should Gu Chenyu be happy?. Why should he?.
Lin Meiyin made some sauce and then she looks at Gu Chenyu. "Here taste it is it good?" She asked blowing on it. Gu Chenyu looks at her happy smile and tastes it. His stomach felt warm, she was really good at cooking her food was the best.
"It's good"he said, "Okay" she said with a smile. Gu Chenyu's heart melted the way she was doting on him felt real, he felt himself wanting to know her more everyday.
Soon the aroma of Lin Meiyin's dishes filled the garden choking everyone, only the smell would make you hungry if you had no appetite. "Girl what are you cooking let the old man have some" he said to Lin Meiyin.
Lin Meiyin smiles "Sure father- In-law" she said giving him some lamb chops he tastes it and his eyes shimmers.
"This is the best lamb chops I've ever tasted" he said.
"Better than mine" said Aunt Si going to her husband.
"Yes I won't be on your side she surpasses you" said Old man Gu.
Aunt Si tastes it and then her facial expression changes and she looks at Lin Meiyin in shock who was smiling.
"Let me have some" said Gu Zihan having some too his eyes shimmers.
"You have improved Lin Meiyin" said Gu Zihan.
"I've always cooked the same way, but you never tasted it, so I don't care about your compliment" said Lin Meiyin.
"Lin Xuewei's saliva lamb chops are more spicy at least you get to taste her there too like an indirect kiss" said Lin Meiyin with a smile.
Gu Chenyu looks at the woman standing next to him a smile played across across his face she was so good at biting and spitting at people he was so proud of her.
She turns to him "Husband let's go eat we'll check the dumplings later" said Lin Meiyin. Gu Chenyu follows Lin Meiyin and they set the table and their dishes with the other dishes, Lin Xuewei was seething with anger and jealousy, Lin Meiyin has gotten some nerves and she has stolen the attention again.
Lin Meiyin picks some dishes for Gu Chenyu who's stomach was warm for the first time he felt happy, this little woman was so good at her job in annoying people and getting attention. "Lin Meiyin I would love to learn this dish, you prepared most of Zihan's favorite dishes, can you teach me tomorrow or I'll come to your house instead" said Lin Xuewei with a smile. Both Lin Meiyin and Gu Chenyu's facial expression changes, Gu Chenyu stops eating Lin Meiyin noticed that he has become quiet. "Sister are you trying to say discord Gu Zihan is not the only one who eats this dishes it's for everyone so I don't get what you're trying to imply" said Lin Meiyin, looking at Lin Xuewei who was smiling. "I'm full" said Gu Chenyu leaving,
"Enjoy your meal I'll go check the dumplings"said Lin Meiyin following Gu Chenyu. "Lin Xuewei what do you think you're doing?" Said Gu Zihan.
"It was just a joke"said Lin Xuewei eating happily.
Lin Meiyin follows Gu Chenyu to the garden.
"Lin Xuewei talks nonsense sometimes " said Lin Meiyin. "Are you offended by what she said, she just trying to make me lose face" said Lin Meiyin. "Did I say anything" said Gu Chenyu his voice cold. " Okay I hope you won't be offended I'll go check the dumplings " she said leaving.
Lin Xuewei felt like she had finally achieved something and then she looks at the dishes Lin Meiyin prepared. "What a waste maybe we should throw it away"she said.
Lin Meiyin sat in the courtyard and then she looks a bit sad. Old man Gu sits down and looks at her. "Why don't you play something for the old man, I like your music you remind me of Chenyu's mother " he said. Lin Meiyin nods and then she starts playing, Old man Gu nods his head and closed his eyes. Lin Meiyin was playing so passionately and the fireworks started it was a beautiful scene, Lin Meiyin played some other sextet and felt very tired. She goes to her room and then she sees Gu Chenyu sitting down by the balcony. Lin Meiyin didn't want to say anything and she goes to take a shower and lies down on the bed falling asleep, after a while she wakes up feeling extremely hungry she had left some dumplings in the fridge she looked around but didn't see Gu Chenyu. Lin Meiyin puts on her robe and then sneaks out of the room it was already dark and quiet inside the mansion, Lin Meiyin turned on her phone torch and then sneaks into the kitchen she finds the dumplings and then heats them up and starts eating. Lin Meiyin was so busy eating that she didn't notice a figure standing behind her and wrapping his hand around her waist, "Coming out just to check if I'm still awake" came Gu Zihan's voice came in her ear.
"Let go what are you doing get your filthy hands off me or else I'll scream" said Lin Meiyin. "You can't because you want it to be this way" he said.
"I'll count to three, one....two....thr-
Gu Zihan's hand was pressed against her mouth they were really close their bodies joined together. Lin Meiyin raises her leg to kick him below the belt but he stands in-between her legs.
"What are you trying to do Gu Chenyu are you trying to make me jealous by using Gu Chenyu, you want me to come close to you, look at you, you can't stop yourself from wanting me , unconsciously preparing my favourite dishes" said Gu Zihan.
"You're not the only one who loves pork ribs, Gu Zihan and get off me right this instant you make me want to puke" said Lin Meiyin.
"And if I don't " he whispered his face getting closer he was about to kiss her.
All of a sudden the lights turned on at the corner was Gu Chenyu his face as black as a pot's bottom. "What's going on " he said with red eyes. Lin Meiyin pushes Gu Zihan away "Chenyu I can explain " she said following him but he had already walked away.
Gu Zihan laughed "You I'm going to kill you " she said hitting him again.
Lin Meiyin follows Gu Chenyu upstairs, she closes the door and then watches him sit down quietly drinking liquor. Lin Meiyin felt scared and really guilty, she didn't know how to approach him, Lin Meiyin fiddles with her fingers and then goes outside and stands a few meters away from him looking for words to say his silence was killing her.
"I wasn't supposed to see that wasn't I?" He said without looking at her.
"I tried to push him away but he trapped me I tried to scream too but he covered my mouth-
"If I give you a gun to shoot him will you be able to do it?" He asked.
"What are you saying i-
"Just tell me Lin Meiyin yes or no?" His voice was like a knife piercing her inside.
"No I can't kill anyone "she said
"Do you still love Gu Zihan?"he asked
"Why are you asking me all this i-
"Lin Meiyin answered the damn question do you still love him?" His voice sounding more angry.
"Lin Meiyin", he said grinding his teeth
"I don't" she said.
"Stop lying to yourself" said Gu Chenyu.
"Why does it matter to you if I love him or not,you said we shouldn't interfere in our personal life why does it bother you?" She asked. Gu Chenyu's face turns ashen, "Lin Meiyin don't let Gu Zihan get into your head" said Gu Chenyu.
"He wants you to think that way, yeah he was my first love, I loved and waited for him for a long time but I won't be stupid enough to go back to him, I need some face it's like eating what I've thrown up" said Lin Meiyin.
"By the way if you feel uncomfortable that I'm making you loose face then divorce me, you saved my life I'm grateful and I'll pay you back every dime you spent on me" she said walking away.
"But you should know better than me who Gu Zihan is" she said stopping her tracks and she goes inside leaving Lin Meiyin alone.
Gu Chenyu watches her climb the bed and fall asleep he sits down his face not looking too good. He was so jealous she didn't say much when Gu Zihan touched her but even if he held her waist she would nag him. Didn't she feel anything for him, not even a bit to her they were just partners, he wished he hadn't left,he didn't leave then that scum Gu Zihan wouldn't have stolen her away from him.
