Blackmoor's POV
BOOM
I hear distant explosions from inside the almost destroyed building that we were using to hide from the war that is going on outside. In the corner of a room, I hide in the arms of my older sister in fear.
"Sister, I'm scared," I said with tears in my eyes while still trying to look stouthearted
"Everything will be fine soon, Cae, don't worry, soon we will be able to see Mom and Dad again," my sister told me
But then the guns and explosions went silent… With terror in everyone's eyes, all of the people hiding in the building prepared for impact using tables, pillows, and anything we could use as cover for the deadly explosion that we all knew was about to arrive. We had learned the hard way that when everything goes silent in the middle of war it didn't mean it doesn't mean the battle is over; it merely means that both sides had started preparing their most devastating weapons and that when those weapons fire, many will die. So with anticipation about what was to come, my sister and I embraced each other tightly while bracing for impact.

Inside a train I an Astrixion with black hair and blue eyes dressed in a school uniform woke up from a light tap on my head after a very long nap, I looked up to check who had tapped my head but saw no one then I looked towards the window to check my surroundings and realized that I had arrived on my stop—casually I picked up my numerous bags filled with to the brim with who knows what together with my ID that has no picture and only name "Caelum Blackmoor".

As I walk out the train I see a golden statue of a mage staff and a sword creating a sword with a dove crest in the middle and together modern and yet classical design of the Velthara City that symbolizes the belief of the city for coexistence of sword masters and mages a sense of relief flows through my body; finally I'm here after numerous challenges and a lot of trouble I will finally have a chance to make a change… granted that I graduate I heard that everything in Velthara Academy the professors can expel you for literally anything simply. After all, the professors are given the authority to do what they seem fit as long as they have a reasonable explanation for their actions, which means I have to be very careful with my actions to make sure that they won't find a reason to expel me because I sure as hell did not go through all those hardships just to lose it all. After all, I got expelled.
"I got this!!!"
Everyone immediately turns to look at me out of confusion, embarrassed. I immediately run away so as to avoid the judgmental eyes of the people around me.
After a while of walking and also getting lost, I finally reached Velthara Academy with its gates having the same size as a 4-story house, together with a golden symbol of the Velthara Academy, which is a mage staff and a sword creating a cross. It's enough to make anyone gulp. So with nervousness, I pushed my body, which suddenly became heavy from nervousness, to move forward and head inside the academy.
As I walked towards the wicket gate to give it a knock suddenly the gate burst open, in surprise I immediately try to reach for my dagger only to realize that I didn't have it on me and as I look up after checking my body for my missing weapon which seemed to vanish out of thin air I saw a girl with red hair inside a black car with rolled down windows looking at me with disdain as the car drives past me, as I look towards the car that had already passed me a man with a rough voice ask me "Hey young lad, can I help you with something?" immediately I tell him that I am a new student of Velthara Academy but he looks at me with suspicion and asks me to prove that I am a student. I immediately took out my ID to prove my identity.
"Young lad, do you think I am dumb enough that I will believe that you are a student here as long as you give me an ID even if it doesn't have your photo?!?! Do you take me for a fool!!!"
"Mister, I didn't mean to offend you, but that was the ID I received. They said that I only had to show it to the registration, then everything would be fine. Please believe me, look, I am even wearing the school uniform of Velthara Academy. How can I possibly get this uniform if I am not an admitted student here!? If this is a punishment for me being late, I apologize. I got lost, I promise this won't happen again."
"Do you think I don't know what you're up to? You probably bought that uniform from old students of the academy or hired a tailor to help you create a replica of the academy uniform; either way, without a valid ID, you won't be getting in."
"Please, mister, trust me this once, I promise I am not lying to you. At least just let me meet the registrar to clear this up, PLEASE."
"Hah… Fine, but if I find out you are lying about your admission, I will have you imprisoned!"
"Thank you."
As I follow the gatekeeper towards a building, I start to feel anxious. What if I truly have not been admitted to Valthara Academy? Did the Stratos Family betray me? Or maybe there was a problem with the filing system? Just as I am about to start to panic, we reach the registration office, where the gatekeeper immediately goes to the registrar to ask for the truth about my admission.
"Good day, Miss Angelica, may I ask for your help with checking the identity of this student here. He claims to be a student in Velthara Academy but only has an ID without a picture as his proof of admission."
"Sure, I can help you right away. Can you give me the ID this young man has given you? We will use a magic machine to check its validity to know if this young man is truly a student here or not."
After the gatekeeper gave my ID to the registrar, the registrar put my ID in the magic machine, and after a few seconds, the analysis was finished. After checking the results, the registrar showed a face of shock and disbelief before heading towards the gatekeeper and me to confirm that I am indeed telling the truth about my admission in Velthara Academy.
After confirming my admission, although with some reluctance, the gatekeeper apologized for his rude behavior and left the registration office. With the problem of my admission solved, I planned to go to my assigned temporary dorm, but just as I was about to leave, I was stopped by the registrar, telling me to wait because some people were about to come and escort me.
With confusion, I state, "Miss, I believe there might be some confusion because I am merely a commoner. I do not have the status to ask for a servant to escort me."
"No, there isn't, Mr. Blackmoor. I was ordered by the Academy Grandmaster to have you wait here so that her assistants may be able to escort you to your private meeting with the Grandmaster."
"Ohh, that makes… sense? Wait! Can you say that again? Did you just say I have a private meeting with the academy grandmaster?!?"
