Chapter 4 - : The First Breath

Vicky stood still.

For a long moment, he didn't move.

Didn't speak.

Didn't even blink.

Then—

He took a breath.

A simple thing.

Something every living being does without thinking.

But this was Vicky's first real breath.

The World Reacts

The air rushed into his lungs.

And reality screamed.

Across realms, across dimensions—

Powerful gods suddenly clutched their chests.

Demon Lords froze mid-command.

Angels fell from the sky.

Something invisible pierced their hearts.

Not a wound.

Not an attack.

A reminder.

Gods gasped.

"What… is this pain—?!"

"My heart—why—?!"

"This feeling… fear?"

Demons roared in confusion.

"No spell was cast!"

"No weapon was raised!"

"Then why does it hurt?!"

None of them said the truth out loud.

They all felt it.

Vicky is breathing.

Above the Thrones

God collapsed onto His throne.

His hand trembled as He pressed it against His chest.

"…He's alive," God whispered.

"Fully."

Another god cried out:

"This pain… it's the same as before the chains!"

A third screamed:

"DON'T LET HIM BREATHE AGAIN!"

But even they knew—

That command meant nothing.

Back in the Village

Vicky exhaled slowly.

The pain in his head dulled—not gone, but controlled.

As if his body had finally accepted him.

"…So this is breathing," he said quietly.

"No wonder they're scared."

The villagers couldn't hear him anymore.

Most were unconscious.

The few still awake could only kneel—not in worship, but instinct.

The ground around Vicky had cracked into a wide circle.

Yet he stood untouched at its center.

A Presence Appears

A shadow formed behind him.

Not hostile.

Not aggressive.

It kneeled.

Deeply.

Respectfully.

Vicky didn't turn around.

"I was wondering when you'd show yourself," he said calmly.

The shadow spoke, voice low and steady.

"My name is Luka."

A demon.

But not like the others.

His aura was restrained. Controlled.

As if power meant nothing to him anymore.

The Servant's Oath

Luka bowed until his forehead touched the ground.

"I exist because you allow it," he said.

"I remain because you breathe."

Vicky finally turned.

Their eyes met.

Red eyes.

Black eyes with a faint silver ring.

"You don't fear me," Vicky said.

Luka smiled faintly.

"I already feared you once," he replied.

"That phase is over."

Vicky studied him for a moment.

"…You're not here to fight."

"No," Luka answered.

"I'm here to serve."

A Warning Without Explanation

Vicky narrowed his eyes.

"Serve me how?"

Luka's voice lowered.

"I will guide you."

"I will clean what follows you."

"And when they come for your life—"

He looked up.

"I will stand in front of you."

Vicky felt no lie in those words.

But he also felt something else.

"…You know more than you're saying."

Luka bowed again.

"Yes."

"And you won't tell me."

"No."

Vicky exhaled.

"…Fair."

Heaven and Hell Tremble

Far away—

God felt it.

The connection.

The bond.

"…A servant," God whispered in horror.

"He accepted a servant."

A demon screamed:

"THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!"

Another whispered:

"If he gathers followers…"

God clenched His fist.

"…Chains won't be enough."

A New Calm

Vicky looked at the sky once more.

No anger.

No hatred.

Just certainty.

"I don't want war," he said.

"But if my existence hurts them…"

His eyes hardened.

"…then that's their problem."

Luka stood behind him, silent as a shadow.

The first servant.

The first sign—

That the world was already too late.
