The man's name was Alexei Volkov.
He was younger than Alessandro expected. Mid-forties. Impeccably dressed. Speaking perfect English with only a trace of an accent. Nothing about him screamed organized crime. He looked like any other businessman having a meeting.
But Alessandro knew better. Knew what polite masks could hide.
"Mr. Castellano, thank you for seeing me." Alexei sat in the chair across from Alessandro's desk. Crossed his legs casually. "I represent my family's interests in New York. I believe you know why I'm here."
"My father's debts." Alessandro kept his voice neutral. "Dante Moretti warned me you'd be making contact."
