"What are you staring at"
Sunny couldn't help but smile at the question. The question given to him by one of the few he trusted. One of the few he cared for. Jet
He stayed silent and waited for his flaw to make him feel the pain till he answered...
And yet it never did. Sunny didn't feel the pain forcing him to answer and then he realized. When his flaw [clear conscious] came into being, it forced him to answer any question he was given but now [truthful speaker] seemed to keep the essence of him having to speak only the truth but now he had the option whether answer or ignore. He guessed that he would be forced to tell the truth and so he did
"You"
he replied simply trying to avoid the slap on the face
The beautiful ascended looked at the boy curiously as if studying an odd nightmare creature
"So... Care to explain why you suddenly changed skin tones and now have a tattoo on your body. I don't remember that being there when I walked in"
Jet was curious to say the least. This boy, outskirts rat just like her suddenly grew paler whilst she was watching him. She almost struck him down right there thinking he failed the trial and was becoming a nightmare creature
"Oh? I suppose those are results of my aspect and the tattoo was probably because of my aspect legacy"
Sunny showed no expression quietly ripping of the restraints that bound him, but he was smirking inside wanting to see her reaction
Jet studied the boy for a few moments; she was honestly surprised at his strength since the straps were durable enough to hold a sleeper if they pass the trial but went insane - and judging by what the boy in front of her just said she was not so sure he was completely sane
"Come now kid I doubt the nightmare was so hard for you to lose your mind already..."
"I assure you, I'm quite sane" - sunny shot back
Jet raised an eyebrow and looked at sunny
"So, you're telling me you have an Aspect legacy? As a sleeper. Most ascended don't have theirs. Neither do most Saints. So how about you show me some proof of this legacy"
Jet was skeptical about the boys' words, but something told her the boy wasn't lying. Perhaps it was the calm demeanor he had or...
Suddenly she smiled
"I still want to see this legacy of yours but first... I never really care for people's past. We all have our stories and scars but tell me kid... Why does a little 16-year-old brat have the eyes of a seasoned killer"
Now it was Sunnys turn to smile.
"Oh, what a simple question miss. You see I have killed many in the past few hours I must say that awakened tyrant was a handful and so was the awakened human"
Jet was taken aback but then her smile seemed to become strained before falling away
"Do you take me for a fool"
her gaze was icy as she looked at sunny
Sunny's expression was so masterfully confused it nearly convinced her he had been speaking the truth, but what he did next cemented that her was not lying her even more.
Dawning [Puppeteers Shroud] and summoning [Blade of Blood], Sunny flaunted his spoils
"That armor... Awakened 4th no 5th tier and the blade, awakened as well albeit 1st tier. How in a first nightmare"
her question wasn't to how he got the weapons, no, it was why there was a Tyrant in a first nightmare since she had already heard sunny was just a street rat with no previous backing and even if he was backed by someone how he could take 2 memories into a first nightmare
Sunny perhaps being sentimental or just missing the time he spent with Jet from his previous life explained without being cryptic.
"My trial was an odd one. It didn't need me to fight rather it tested my will. my ability to adapt"
he paused for a second and let that sink in and then he continued
"I was with a slave caravan and naturally the spell made the kid a slave how cruel...
he acted in mocked sadness hands raised and everything
"Get to the point i have a schedule" - Jet spoke strict words but her tone was joking
"...Anyway, as we marched up the mountain the tyrant came and killed most it had these disgusting little creatures' dormant beasts. I killed about 7 of those and hatched a plan with 2 other slaves while the awakened hero was fighting the tyrant. We shoved it off the mountain. And I knew it survived since I didn't hear the spell so I convinced the others to walk up and so we did. On our way in short, the 3 tried to kill me so I killed them. When I made it up the mountain, I did a dance I saw in a dream and that's how I got my aspect legacy and after I did some stuff and the nightmare ended. Oh, also the tyrant died" - Sunny ended with a bright smile and a loud clap
Sunny smiled at Jets calculating look as if she were processing the information. She noticed that he became more cryptic towards the end but said nothing - everyone deserved their privacy after all
" So, this aspect legacy?"
she inquired wanting him to continue
"Oh, it's called [Shadow dance] it basically allows me to understand and mirror how others move and fight amongst other things"
Sunny said it as being able to analyze your opponent and mirror them was some easy tasks but before Jet could say anything Sunny summoned serpent in her [soul beast] form
Mastering 3 steps, serpent was already an ascended and of great size. she was roughly 2 times larger than her ascended form in Sunnys past life, her form filling up the room and her appearance causing a bead of cold sweat falling from her face and his words drew her attention away from serpent who was nuzzling Sunny's arm to his face
" I mastered the first 3 of 7 steps which is why I guess she's an ascended. As for her being a beast I think that has something to do with this attribute of hers [soul bound] maybe as I get more soul cores hers will go up to]
Jet paused collecting herself and speaking to him
"Multiple cores? Sorry kid I get that it's impressive you have an echo as a legacy relic but if what you said is true 'she' will always be a beast. Humans have 1 soul core still this is a very powerful echo"
Now sunny smiled on the outside
"Oh, my aspect allows me to form multiple cores"
Since the boy woke up Jet had been shocked many times and yet she was stunned again. Paling slightly, she stood and asked
"What rank is your aspect"
Sunny smiled kindly.
"Oh, nothing special, Just Divine..."
She woke up from her chair. Something told her wasn't lying so she did not bother questioning rather she gave him a warning despite her absolute shock
"Your name is Sunless right"
"My names Sunless. But my friends call me Sunny"
Jet looked at him seriously the laid-back women disappearing
"Listen sunless. From one street rat to another. I will warn you not to tell anyone of your aspect or your legacy as yet. Not till you're stronger unless you wish to gather unwanted attention especially from the ..." - she halted
Sunny smiled knowingly at her smirking quite menacingly
"Do I look like that much of a fool to you miss. There was a single reason I told you about abilities. Do you know what that reason is"
Jet looked at the boy and asked
"What?"
"Because you have the same eyes as me. The eyes of a killer"
