Sunny was falling again a few meters from the sky above the water was not panicked as he was once - he placed his hands downwards and dived in to avoid being disorientated. Moments later sunny surfaced - somehow being able to stay stagnant in the water without having to move his arms
'How wonderful it is to see this dark sea again' - He was naturally. Being sarcastic.
Using his shadow sense sunny quickly made out the 2 nightmare creatures beneath the depths - one a shark like demon and the other some kraken like horror - both moving in his direction
Sunny shifted in the waters slightly the memory of how the shark was being chased by the tentacle horror playing in his mind - especially how he had almost died. Wrapping Gloomy around himself sunny quickly begun to paddle through the water moving faster in the black liquids than he thought possible
Moving through the water he noticed that the creature in the water did not seem to notice his presence - perhaps it was the distance, or the fact that it was currently being chased by another inconceivable creature - but sunny knew that the creature's natural instinct was to attack the uncorrupted
So quickly sunny naturally knew what it was, it was a combination of wonderful things [God of Darkness], [Shadow] and [Child of Storm] were all being thanked by sunny so much it was unbelievable
And so, Sunny decided to take a calculated risk - so Sunny stopped moving entirely sinking slightly into the water enough to observe the creatures - Sunny watched as they approached slowly
'Oh, thank you [God of darkness].'
Sunny naturally didn't verbalize that because something told him his voice and presence were too different things.
But how did they not detect him?
It was simple really. Sunny was a god of darkness, and he was currently in the dark sea, at night. That combination made detecting him as easy as finding a specific needle in a pack of needles.
Sunny saw an opportunity and took it
Summoning the [Puppeteers Shroud] and his [Blood Blade] sunny kept himself hovering in the water. Directly in the path of the fleeing beast.
Despite its life being in danger. The beast sensed sunny. Or rather the ripples he was causing in the water and charged - Maybe it had been fleeing for a while and was hungry. Or it wanted to eliminate the thing in its way to survival.
It charged directly at sunny it's speed somehow increasing a bit more. Sunny had a plan in mind and began to swim back. It was giving the nightmare creature a false sense of victory and just when it was about to catch him in its open Jaws.
Sunny pivoted
His movements were graceful like a dancer despite the water.
Sunny used his elbow to bounce of the shark's snout and held the sword in his hand to a stabbing position
He knew that he was essentially using a toothpick to stab into steel. But almost all creatures whom had working eyes suffered the same weakness. And this one was no different
Sunny stabbed his blade into the eye of the devil. It moved in smoothly as the shark began to writhe and flail. But it was too late. Sunny whom was still holding the blade and being pulled around by the movements shoved the blade deeper.

Sunny felt the shadow of the octopus beast growing closer. But it was not merely tentacles. 2 gigantic arms seemed to accompany it's large almost humanoid body and head shape.
Sunny heard the spell
[you have slain a Corrupted Devil: Razorfin]
[a fragment of your lost power returns]
[you have received a memory]
Without stopping to admire his boon sunny turned.
And swam for his life.
There was no guarantee that he the creature in the sea would prefer live prey. So, he left the corpse of the devil there. Not that he could do anything with it and hoped for the best. Thankfully the tentacles didn't pursue him. Rather it gripped the shark and sank into the depths
Sunny reached the statue and crawled up onto the cold stone. His body laying flat as his head rested in the ground under his arm.
" isn't it wonderful to be back here"
Sunny spoke to gloomy. The Shadow however shook its head in a disappointed manner. As if to say 'what is wrong with my master'
Sunny suddenly smiled widely and got up.
"I got a memory from that kill"
Summoning the Runes sunny analyzed them.
Devourer of the Depths

That line alone almost made him stop caring about the rest. A transcendent armor in this realm would make him as formidable as Gunlaug himself but alas not everything can be perfect
Honestly speaking sunny was unaware of how to feel about his new armor's enchantments. Firstly, because we'll. Sunny had already felt the ability of his [Child of Storm] attribute and all the effects of the Armor could be achieved with that attribute. Aside from the [Fluid Weight] they were helpful.
But it was still a transcendent Armor, so he was glad.
After sunny was done analyzing the pros and cons of the new memory he collected himself and waited. Sunny felt an inkling in his soul as if to try something and so he did. From Sunnys chest region a fluid inky black material flowed
The feeling was not odd or painful. Rather if felt quite natural.
Sunny had experimented with this technique lots in the academy and knew it well. It was his ability to manipulate darkness.
Specifically of those he killed.
Forming a chair - Sunnys crude couch sunny sat and awaited the coming of his 'little sister'

Sunny tested out the capability of this darkness as he waited for serpent and Cassie to arrive. After all darkness was fundamentally different from shadows. Yet they seemed to operate the same. Though the darkness from the corrupted devil was tougher more easy to control.
Sunny began to worry slightly if Cassie would make it here safely. But he quickly disposed of his thoughts.
He chose serpent got a reason.
Her attributes made her powerful and extremely adapted to stealth operations. And he didn't doubt her ability to handle any unexpected situations.
Sunny sat on the couch as he waited. Soon roughly 2 hours past and then he saw them
Serpent slithered onto the platform. Her magnificent size of 20 meters towering. Then she lowers herself and a figure that was tightly latched into seprnts neck could be seen. soaked and shivering like a leaf in the wind.
"Cass are you okay?"
Sunny left his little couch as the darkness flowed back into his body. He quickly got over to Cassie as he dismissed serpent into his soul sea.
Sunny made note of the fact that serpent had no injuries implying there was either no battle. Of the creatures that attempted to fight them was to weak. Unfortunately the first case was true. After all sunny didn't get any fragment increase.
suddenly sunny closed his eyes shut. The reason was simple.
The blind blonde in front of him. Kneeling on the ground.
Was completely nude.
"Sunny is... Is that you" Cassie said as she coughed up a bit of water.
Sunny responded quickly
" Uh yeah it's me. And don't get me wrong I'm glad you're here safe and sound. But could you please put something on"
Cassie paused
Her face gained a deep blush. She hadn't had the chance to realize the situation. Immediately after landing here in whatever place this was. Sunny's echo wrapped itself around her and made for the water.
She quickly summoned her cloak but realized it was too short to cover her body all the way around. So, her front was open while her back was covered.
"Sunny?"
"You can see in the dark right?"
"yeah so could you please put something on"
"I can't"
"what do you mean you can't"
"I don't have a garment memory for clothing"
Sunny couldn't help it. He face palmed himself hard - 'of course, I forget to give the outfit to her'
"Here I have a garment memory for you to use"
Cassie was so embarrassed that she didn't even bother to ask what sunny would use. She held out her hand as she remembered how her dad had told her Nightmare spell carriers share memories.
Sunny instead patted her head and transferred it.
"Ah sorry I was aiming for you shoulder. But I have my eyes closed so I couldn't see anyway tell. Me once it's on"
Sunny spoke the truth. Well of course he did.
He not only closed his eyes but turned off shadow sense and made gloomy look in a different direction.
Cassie was like a sister to him in his past life. And now that was even more true. So he had no plan of seeing her any other way
"I.... I put it on thank you sunny"
Sunny sighed in relief
"good"
"Sunny?"
"Yes Cass"
"Why does the memory garment you gave me have no description or name... Or anything for that matter"
"Oh, I made it on the go. I only had 4 dormant soul shards at my disposal, so I used 1 to make that for you I didn't want to strain the soul core with a lot, so I left it plain only giving it the property of a memory to be summoned m dismissed and repair "
Cassie was stumped. How can he be so powerful. More importantly how can he be so powerful and bother himself with her. A weakling. She didn't voice that though afraid of one of his lectures which she got at the academy whenever she had insulted herself
"You can make memories?"
"Yeah, it's one of my attributes that helps me"
"Is it the [Last Weaver] attribute"
Sunny smiled smugly - "May I know how you know about one of my attributes Cass"
he said it playfully however to his dismay however Cassie started to panic and tear up
"I'm sorry sunny. I didn't mean to. I.... I just got curious after you said you came out first and... And I... I "
Sunny rushed to comfort her and wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her close and rested her head on his shoulder gently patting it
"it's okay Cass I was just curious I'm not mad"
"... Sorry I didn't mean to get emotional I just... I don't want you to abandon me I... I"
Sunny frowned - "I won't"
Cassie looked at him. At where she suspected his eyes to be
"how can you say that so easily. You don't know the future you might abandon me... Which I wouldn't even blame you for"
Sunny made a decision - "Cassia"
She wiped some tears away on her sleeve clumsily - "yes?"
"I can't lie"
"What... What do you mean"
Sunny sighed. Very few knew of his flaw. And then it came to where no one knew after he was erased from fate.
"my flaw is that I cannot speak a word of lie Cass. Simple"
Cassie was shocked. For sunny to so openly reveal his flaw to her. It was a amazing show of trust to say he least. But she was shocked for another reason. Because that would mean every word sunny had told her had been to truth. Even about not abandoning her
"amazing huh. A simple flaw like mine"
He half expected Cass to be a bit mad as her flaw was so harrowing
"our flaws are bad to each of us as individuals sunny... To you lying must have been something important a way of life huh."
"Smart girl" - he said as he patted her head
"Now get some rest."
"aren't you going to sleep to"
"You can see attributes right"
Cassie looked down. A bit ashamed of her actions but she nodded regardless
"don't look so down Cass. I already expected you to have an ability like that so you can relax"
This made her smile a bit so sunny continued as she was now shifted to lay on the floor besides him
"Well, you may have noticed my [Shadow] attribute."
Cassie just nodded as she yawned
"that attribute basically means I'm a shadow. I don't really need to sleep much. Same with eating or drinking I can go about a week without sleep food or water before I need to eat or drink or sleep again "
"oh... So... What are you gonna do"
Cassie said as her eyes had already closed. Thankfully she was asleep before she heard Sunny's response or she wouldn't have let an ounce of sleep take her
