Synopsis
Mystic Falls is the breeding ground for all manner of supernatural creatures. Vampires? Ancient history. Werewolves? Myth. Originals? Bedtime stories. Lucifer Morningstar, now that's a first. childhood friend to Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline, turned friends with Benefits, maybe more, with Elena. Lucifer is aware that she had a life in another world before this one. She remembers very little of it, only remembering that it was the same as this one; however, no vampires were going around killing people. Her powers are second nature to her; she knows she is invincible. The flaming sword doesn't exist here, and as far as she can tell, God or any other Archangels don't exist here either. Lucifer just kind of spawned here, as a little girl. Lucifer was taken by who else but the Gilberts, where she met a little Elena Gilbert, and they became fast friends. As they got older (as in teens), Elena and Lucifer started 'experimenting'. At first, Elena was scared of what people thought, constantly trying to hide it, but now she and Lucifer could hardly care.

Chapter 1 - Lucifer Morningstar

Lucifer Morningstar

Overview

Mystic Falls has always been a magnet for monsters.

Vampires hide in plain sight. Werewolves lurk in bloodlines. Witches bend nature until it snaps back at them. Originals rule through fear and age.

And then there's Lucifer Morningstar — a being that shouldn't exist in this universe at all.

She didn't arrive through magic. She wasn't summoned, born, or created. One day, she was simply there — a little girl with an English accent, no past, and eyes far too knowing for her age.

The Gilberts took her in.

That decision shattered canon before it ever had a chance to form.

Origin (or Lack Thereof)

Lucifer is aware she lived a life before this one.

She remembers almost nothing — only fragments. A world like this, but cleaner. Quieter. No vampires draining people in alleyways. No magic rotting the ground. The certainty that she was someone important… and powerful.

She knows she is an Archangel. She knows her name is Lucifer Morningstar. Beyond that, the details are gone.

There is no Flaming Sword in this world. No sign of God. No other Archangels watching from above or below. As far as Lucifer can tell, she simply spawned here, alone, into a universe that was never meant to hold her.

Life in Mystic Falls

Raised by the Gilberts, Lucifer grows up alongside Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline. She goes to school. She blends in just enough. She learns how humans live.

What she never learns is fear.

From childhood, it's obvious she's different. Too strong. Too calm. Too unbothered. People learn quickly not to push her — physically or otherwise. She doesn't hide her strength and never explains it.

By the time she's older, she looks like trouble given form — dark hair, sharp features, piercing eyes, and an uncanny resemblance to a young Kate Beckinsale. The English accent never fades.

Personality

Lucifer is confident, blunt, and unapologetic. She doesn't soften herself to make others comfortable. She has no interest in power plays, crowns, or ruling anything — she already knows where she stands in the hierarchy.

She's protective of the people she claims as hers, loyal to a fault, and dangerously patient with threats. She doesn't lash out unless necessary. When she does, it ends quickly.

She has a dry sense of humor, a fondness for provoking people who think they're powerful, and zero tolerance for being lied to.

Elena Gilbert

Lucifer and Elena grow up inseparable.

What starts as childhood friendship slowly becomes something deeper as they grow older. At first, Elena worries about labels, appearances, and what people might think. Lucifer never does.

She doesn't hide the relationship. She doesn't ask permission.

Lucifer openly claims Elena — a hand at her waist, pulling her close in public, kissing her like there's nothing in the world that could stop her. Over time, Elena stops caring too.

This alone breaks canon.

Because Elena doesn't grow up vulnerable in this version of events. She grows up protected.

Canon Difference

The moment vampires enter Mystic Falls, the story derails completely.

With Lucifer at Elena's side, neither Stefan nor Damon Salvatore ever develops a close bond with her. Damon's intimidation doesn't work when Lucifer watches him like a threat. Stefan never becomes her moral anchor — Elena already has one.

There is no love triangle. No obsession. No slow fall into darkness.

Elena doesn't need saving.

Originals quickly learn the rules are different now. Immortality doesn't mean dominance. Age doesn't equal power. Lucifer can manhandle them with ease — and she doesn't even consider it a fight.

Mystic Falls remains dangerous, but Elena Gilbert is no longer the center of the storm.

She's standing beside it.

Abilities

Lucifer's powers are instinctive. She doesn't train them. She doesn't question them. She simply uses them.

Absolute Immortality: Cannot be killed, erased, or destroyed by any known force in this universe.

Overwhelming Strength: Capable of physically overpowering Originals and other immortal beings with ease.

Invulnerability: Weapons, magic, and supernatural attacks are ineffective against her.

Enhanced Speed & Reflexes: Faster than vampires, precise enough to end fights before they begin.

Truth Perception: Instinctively senses lies, hidden desires, and intentions.

Reality Resistance: Magic, compulsion, and reality-warping effects either fail outright or have no lasting effect.

Intimidating Presence: A passive, oppressive aura that weaker beings instinctively react to.

Supernatural Awareness: Instantly senses supernatural entities and threats in her vicinity.

Combat Mastery: Fights with brutal efficiency despite never training — knowledge is ingrained.
