After the paradoxical ending, Natsuki and Vylara quickly reached the Central control room, from where they managed to disable the surrounding shield generator for just the brief moment needed to escape their current predicament (and no, the Shadow Demons wouldn't be able to escape- I mean, haven't you lot forgotten that surrounding Shadow Demons have all been demolished due to the sudden conscription by Elinare, causing them all to be mowed down by a Tier-6 Vylara, not to mention the fact that the leftovers were reduced to blood bags by the newly created Shadow Centaur!). Though it took them some time (cause neither had degrees in Mechatronics and Quantum Engineering), they managed to jerry-rig the machine manually using the tips that Vylara had somehow managed to memorise when Scaramond was giving his usual lecture to them...
"Alright! There, we can now get back to... whatever 'Folktul' is. I mean, what the fuck is this 'End Of The World'!? I thought it would've been like, y'know, a ginormous cliff overlooking the ocean, from where we would be seeing gigantic mana pillars emitting magic into a 'magical' portal, used to, y'know, keep the Demons out...? I didn't know that that damned bitch meant exactly what she said-
The literal end of the world
I mean, how on Aeronia did this come to be? Did they get invaded by some sort of parasitic entities from the farthest reaches of the universe? Or did they unlock something they shouldn't have, or, less likely, got involved with some sort of Anti-BOR faction that has supposedly taken over an entire Paramount Universe and was using this as a testing ground for their invasion..."
Ignoring the maiden-turned-conspiracy theorist, Natsuki took one last glance at the scene behind him:
The damned earth...
The distorted sky...
The broken buildings...
A nation sent to eternal damnation, never to return

Shaking her half-burnt head, Vanessa wiped the dust and ashes from the battle off her brows, frowning in visible concern.
I hope that the Heroes can escape the hell that is The End Of The World...
Biting her charred lips, Vanessa kicked a straggling Drewlin in its nuts, stepping over its dissipating body. Ignoring the kneeling men surrounding her, clutching their ballsacks, Vanessa strode back and forth the Great Doorway, praying that nothing went wrong.
As far as I know, whoever went in never came out of that accursed place, perishing there without anyone knowing how. But maybe, maybe they can overturn this damned fate and- HOLY CRAP, WHAT IS THAT!?
Suddenly, the silvery film shimmering before her began trembling, before a bright white light cut through the bloody battlefield. Shielding her eyes, Vanessa was horrified to see the dissipation of the Shadow Demons accelerating before the clear light. "Shit, everyone, get into position! No matter what happens, we'll fight to the death! To those who survive, let the bards of Folktul tell of how 'One-eyed' Vanessa threw her life defending the far folk of Aesold! For as long as I live, neither Demons nor their damned King shall ever lay their feet from beyond...this...land...?"
Clink, clang, poof...
Weapons began falling to the ground, with some men even dropping to their knees, unable to comprehend the sight before them:
They had done it; the heroes before had defeated one of the Demon King's Demon Generals
"Uh, hey, can someone help us here...?"
