….

The Hidden Leaf Village. The Uchiha Manor.

"Onii-san, please practice shuriken with me..." A young Sasuke tugged at the sleeve of Itachi, who was just about to head out.

Itachi broke into a warm smile and turned around. His Anbu uniform made his elite status clear at a glance. Reaching out, he lightly poked Sasuke's forehead with two fingers.

"Forgive me, Sasuke. Maybe next time..."

"Ugh..." Sasuke watched Itachi's retreating back and muttered under his breath, "It's always 'next time'... when is that ever actually going to happen?"

"Then why don't you go accompany our little sister in her training?" Itachi said softly, ruffling Sasuke's hair with a gentle, brotherly affection. "Even though she hasn't learned ninjutsu yet, she's still our sister. Sasuke, you're an older brother now, too."

Sasuke nodded and glanced back at the young girl standing in the living room. She had long, jet-black hair that reached past her waist and wore a blue coat adorned with the Uchiha crest.

Her eyes were exceptionally clear and full of spirit. Seeing his sister like this, a flicker of warmth stirred in Itachi's heart. He walked over to her and knelt down to match her height.

"Kanon, I have to go out on a mission." Itachi gave Kanon's forehead the same gentle poke.

"Mm! Be careful out there, Itachi-nii!" Kanon nodded, her cheeks puffing out cutely as she beamed at him.

Sasuke and Kanon watched as their brother left the house. Kanon then reached out and tugged on Sasuke's shirt. "Sasuke-nii... will you practice with me?"

"Kanon, you're only six. You don't even know any ninjutsu yet; there's no point in practicing with you." Sasuke stuck his tongue out, made a silly face at her, and bolted out the door on his own.

"You're only one year older than me..."

Kanon sighed in resignation. Her two brothers, one was in the Anbu, constantly away on missions, and the other was always running off to the riverbank to practice the Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu. Neither of them had time for her.

She sat alone on the tatami mats, looking a bit sullen.

Mikoto Uchiha stepped out from the kitchen. After wiping down the table, she looked at her daughter. "Kanon-chan, I'll go practice with you in a bit, okay?"

Kanon scrambled to her feet and gave Mikoto a bright smile. "It's okay, Mama! I'm not bored. I'm going to head out and play for a while."

"Alright. Just remember to be back for dinner before sunset."

"Oh, and one more thing..." Mikoto stepped back into the kitchen and returned with a bento box, handing it to Kanon. "Take this to your father."

"Okay!"

With her mother's permission, Kanon skipped out of the house. Clutching the bento box, she made her way toward the Uchiha Police Force headquarters with light, bouncy steps.

After walking for about ten minutes, she looked up at the Police Force building and sighed. "Papa's workplace is so far away."

She knew the route so well she could practically walk it with her eyes closed. Navigating the familiar corridors, she arrived at the office of her father, Fugaku Uchiha.

Standing before the door of the Uchiha Clan Leader, she raised a small hand and knocked.

"Come in," a deep, middle-aged voice called out from within.

The door creaked open, revealing a young girl barely 1.2 meters tall. Kanon's long black hair swayed gently as she entered.

"Papa!" her voice rang out, sweet enough to melt the coldest heart.

Fugaku had been scowling at a stack of documents, but the moment he heard Kanon's soft voice, his mood instantly brightened. No amount of grueling paperwork was as comforting as hearing his daughter call him "Papa."

"My sweet daughter, what brings you here?"

"Mama asked me to bring you your lunch." Kanon handed the bento box to him.

Fugaku patted Kanon's head, a rare smile gracing his stern face. "Kanon, would you like to eat with me?"

"Does Papa want me to stay?" Kanon asked, tilting her head.

"Of course! Tell me, did those two rascals Sasuke and Itachi bully you again?"

"No..."

"If you're ever feeling upset, you must tell me. Your father is very powerful, you know." Fugaku brushed his hand against his daughter's chubby cheek, feeling a sense of pride.

She truly inherited her mother's looks and mine, he thought. She's this adorable as a child; she'll grow up to be a legendary beauty!

Fugaku opened the bento on his desk. Seeing how packed it was, he understood Mikoto's intention—she had intentionally made enough for two so that Kanon would stay and keep him company.

As Kanon sat beside him, eating quietly, Fugaku felt a profound warmth. Sharing a meal with his daughter was a rare moment of pure happiness.

"Kanon, you mentioned before that you dreamed of a field of flowers. Do you want to tell me about it?" Fugaku asked, trying to keep the conversation light and engaging for her.

"Does Papa really want to hear? Sasuke and Itachi didn't seem interested at all," Kanon said, her eyes lighting up.

"Of course. I want to hear everything."

"I think," Kanon began, "that everyone is born with a field of flowers inside their heart. But at the start, the flowers and the grass have no color at all."

"They are crystal clear... like beautiful, translucent glass."

"As we grow up, the field gradually fills with colorful flowers and green grass. They represent our joys, our sorrows, and our growth."

"The flowers in that field are so beautiful. I long for that place. There's no war there. It's a place where everyone can truly understand one another."

"There, everyone just lives happily and plays together..."

Listening to his daughter describe her dream world, Fugaku felt a pang of sadness. The world Kanon described was beautiful, one even he yearned for.

But reality was different. The Uchiha clan was beset by internal strife and external pressure. The tension with Konoha was reaching a breaking point, and many in the clan were already whispering of a coup. As the Clan Leader, the weight on his shoulders was nearly unbearable.

Fugaku's expression gradually grew solemn. Sometimes, he felt his daughter's thoughts were far too advanced for her age. He gently patted her head. "Kanon, be a good girl and go play for a while. I still have work to do."

"Eh?!" Kanon felt a bit disappointed, but she didn't want to pester her father.

She left the Police Force headquarters alone, beginning the quiet walk home.

"Honestly, even Papa doesn't understand me..." she grumbled, kicking a small pebble off the road. As she continued toward the western side of the village, a sudden, violent headache struck.

"Agh!" Kanon collapsed to her knees, clutching her head. It felt as if something was exploding inside her mind. A moment later, she lost consciousness in the middle of the street.

In the depths of her consciousness, another "self" appeared, someone who looked exactly like her.

"Who are you?" Kanon asked within this mental void. However, when she reached out to touch the double, the figure instantly transformed into a book.

It was a massive tome, its cover engraved with intricate scripts and pulsing with strange chakra fluctuations.

"The Encyclopedia of Ninjutsu..." Kanon whispered, her eyes wandering over the book that was taller than she was.

As she observed it, the book suddenly spoke, and its voice was identical to her own.

Ding!

"Eh?!" Kanon stood frozen, the chaotic voices in her head nearly impossible to process.

Then, a beam of light shot out from the book, transferring an "Operation Manual" directly into her mind via telepathy.

In that instant, Kanon understood. This book contained the training methods for every Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, and Forbidden Jutsu in existence.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. Did this mean she could finally perform flashy Fireballs and precise shuriken throws like her brothers?

As if sensing her thoughts, the voice of the Tome echoed in her heart once more.

[Please keep this a secret, Kanon. Do not tell anyone about the existence of the Ninjutsu Tome, including your parents.]

"I can't even tell Mama and Papa?" Kanon pressed.

[Negative.] The voice, identical to her own, sounded somewhat cold. Kanon felt a strange sensation, but she ultimately decided to comply.

"Then... can I call you 'Konin'?" Kanon asked curiously, her eyes fixed on the entity that looked so much like her.

[As you wish,] it replied indifferently.
