Rushed's perspective:
What is a monster?
In people's eyes, they are devours of their loved ones or dreams. Or they are the phenomenon that they are displeased with. Because for one they take away without warming many types of monsters in this world of ours. Monsters you could not show themselves and cause trouble. Monsters who kidnap children, monsters who devour dreams. Monsters who sack blood.
And monsters who always tell lies and use them on people I am displeased with. Lying monsters like me are a real nuisance to deal with. We are much more cunning than other monsters. We pose as humans even though we have no understanding of the human heart. We eat even though we never experienced the term called 'Hunger.'
We study even though they have no interest in academics, we seek friendship even though we don't know how to love. It is completely forbidden to us. If I were to encounter such a monster. I would be likely eaten by it because in truth.
'I am that monster and my reign has just begun.'
And the monsters that I am I have my reasons for becoming this way.
I really don't have any memory of consciously laughing. An unconscious emotional expression. How many times have there been such experiences. This emotional exchange only happens when it is beneficial for me.
And a monster that I am the truth of is I really can't feel many human emotions. And if I have to guess. I really have lost my guilty consciousness and now I am left with the outcome of that. Emotionless Monster, who always tells lies.
That is my honest thought about myself as a person. And as I live in this world, I will not let anything happen to me. I sat there looking at the moons in the sky, the beauty of it was mesmerising. Yet I felt nothing because I know this due to people saying it around others.
"It is beautiful isn't it," I man suddenly came from the living room to me.
"Master Skies. You should not appear just out of nowhere," I said.
"Forgive me for the intrusion but there is something important I wanted to ask you."
"Go on ahead"
"Your son and his academy friends are coming here next week. What have you planned on doing if he snitches on us."
"A-ah, do not worry I already have something planned."
"What is it," he said it as he started grinning.
"I am going on a little vacation in the Country south of the Star kingdom."
"Care to explain the benefits of the plan."
"If I am not her when they come. Their entire goal of coming here would be useless and even I know Max will tell them about us."
"And if they manage to trick you down, then what will you do?"
"The 20 students of the Black Asylum will be revealed to them."
"Leaving the nightmares to dare with them. What a well thought out plan."
The boy with the Luna eyes would be the hardest to deal with. But off the chance Rial managed to trick me. 'I will definitely die. Well Rial and Rui won't even see me so it does matter.
Rial perspective:
It has been a week since Max told us the truth.
And now I am starting to wonder. Who is Rushed really? Why is he so empty inside?Who are his parents even?
Max told us about his history, and how Max himself was raised. Nothing made sense.
Max said, he was raised by a proper family with money but he decided it didn't want anything to do with that and left. Then he started killing people for money which somehow fed his ego. And during that time he got a job offer.
That offer came directly from a king from an unknown kingdom. The offer was realistically simple but hard. He wanted him to build an institution that can produce special eyes. They can do this due to the cells from 'the first king of the world.' They add magical energy with the cells then create an alignment for the eye. They wait until a month until placing it in the children's eyes.
The horrifying thing is that they do not care about the child. And due to that children passed away because of mana depletion. Others died by absorbing too much life energy. He said the scene was so horrifying that he collapsed from anxiety and nervousness. Then he made up his mind. He wanted to last and the only way to do that was to endure until the end. And that was when he himself felt emotionally detached. Now we only have 2 days until the vacation. Right it is midnight. I guess I have sleep.
I woke up at 8, then did my morning routine. I fist brushed my teeth then bathed after that I wore my uniform. Later after that I went to the kitchen and made myself some breakfast before I stepped foot outside.
When I got outside the first thing that I saw was Ai and Eigi walking down the road. Laughing and talking like everyday, they really don't change. I didn't want to disturb them so I turned to another road then took a curve to the corner. Which took me to the main street, that was a 20 minutes walk to school. I got there around 8:53, but after I got there I noticed that Christina, Eiichiro, Ai and Eigi hadn't arrived. Which was weird since they always arrive earlier than many of us.
"Hey, what is going on," Nanase asked.
"I don;t know, but on my way I saw them," I said.
"Then why didn't you come with them?"
"I didn't want to disturb them since they had which a peaceful atmosphere between them."
"Sure I will take it."
"I am telling you the truth."
"Naa, i smile cap."
"Since when did you start to use Slang words."
"Since I started using them."
"You know if you won't answer me just keep quiet."
"Nope that is too boring for me."
"I am not your toy."
"You are my friend."
"Ahhhhhhh, why do I even try."
Then finally they came inside. Eiichiro, Christina, Flora, Eiji and Ai.
"Why are late," Max said.
"We wanted to talk a little on the way so it took that time of school." Eiichiro answered as if it was not wrong.
"And you."
"What do you mean?"
"Mrs Celia told us to come to the office once everyone is here right."
"Yeah we better get moving then." I said.
We all started moving towards the school office, then after we reached there Mrs Celia came to us with a large box.
It had a ton of things inside if you judge the size.
"What is inside the box Mrs" Flora asked.
"These are the phones you are going to use during the upcoming vacation. These phones are filled in with sensors, trackers, and monitors. That will help us in monitoring you guys. Some icons on the normal phones are banned and you cannot bring your own phone. Oh, other students from other kingdoms will also be attending so do not trouble them."
These were the instructions she gave us before giving us the phones. The phone I got was a model 9. The current model today, I guess I am really lucky. Because there are less than 30 of these phones around. But Rui, Kakashi and Max also got the same model as me so I am not that lucky.
"Hey, you remember the plan right," Max asked while standing at my back.
"Yes, I have come so far, this is not the time to chicken up." I said.
"You know if you want to draw out this is the time."
"No I will continue on as arranged"
"Okay, well then sleep good tonight"
"Thanks"
Then we both walked home.
