About 2 hours later, we all got ready to meet the king.
Today should be a turning point for. Because for once in the history of all the kingdoms. Their students are finally meeting but this is not to fight. But to spend valuable time together.
Then I asked myself what are the differences between love, obsession and lust?
In truth I don't know myself but if I had to guess I would say. Love is an emotional reaction that happens to someone causing them to care for others than themselves. Obsession is the act of forcing yourself on someone, who doesn't return your feelings as you want.
Lust is the sinful action of overlooking someone in a sinful gaze and making them feel uncomfortable.
I could be completely wrong since this experience hasn't happened to me yet. But without a doubt I know these are the feelings of the ones who could be oppressed. In that situation.
We reached the castle a short while ago, it seemed like any normal castle. But when we step foot into the interior part of the castle. My classmates had to held their breaths together. For they had to seen such a beautiful castle in their whole life of living. But due to my years living in Japan and Canada. I have seen more beautiful and attractive things than this.
The castle contained a large room for parties, a large bath tub, a magic television room and a game room. After we made our way in the castle, the king's servants escorted us to the other children of other kingdoms.
Wow!
There were many people in this large room, and yet there were space room in this place. Just as I started to observe my surroundings the same girl from earlier tapped my shoulders.
"Hello again,"she said with a smile.
"Oh... it is just you."
"Yeah it is me."
"Then I presume you come from the Moon kingdom right."
"You have a good sight don't you."
"No I just managed to see you from there."
"Oh... I wanted to ask what is wrong with your arm?
"What do you mean?
"Your arm there is a dragon mark on there that can manifest itself with that arm."
"Ah... it works but not for long."
"So you knew."
"No... it just happens out of reflex."
"So that's the case, well good to know."
From my eyesight, I saw another girl approaching us. Rui was also approaching us too.
"There you are Lily," a girl with a long dress introduced herself.
"Is that Princess Charlotte," Rui who just came from the back said.
"Yeah that is me, and I suppose you are Rui of the Star Kingdom."
"Yes that is me but I have to ask who is this person?
"It is my friend Rial, we both go to the same school. Fun fact we also share the same birthday."
"So... you guys must be best friends then."
"We sure are."
"Unless he secretly hates our friendship somehow." He said it as to mock the girl's friendship that somehow manages to fall every time.
"Do you hate it," Lily asked.
"I ever hated being friends with you nor the others.
"Ohh."
Then the king suddenly approached all of us. He got on the stage and said:
"Hello students of nations. My name is King Nanami Osika from the northern Kingdom in the spring. And this is my partner Cecilia. My children as you can see are here John and Noah.
"And my lover, grrr."
Sorry for that, I mean my wife again is here Cecilia is here.
His voice displayed guilt, it was as if he was being forced to hold back. And that came when he said lover. Looks like the queen isn't his lover. Deep in my mind I had already begun thinking of the possibilities. So did Max, Kakashi, and Rui who felt like we were holding some thing from him.
And as I looked in Lily's direction, she wore the same expression she used when we met. Even though the king's slip up was evident. She didn't seem phrased, the same calm expression was on her face.
Meanwhile: In the garden near the park. Celia and lugh had gathered around the fountain. They didn't see each other since we left the Star kingdom. Their chemistry was something out of a romance novel. The way we held their hands, the way they kissed, the way they smiled. Is romance something that I should chase?
The question hanged in my head, until Lily once again approached me, This time with someone I didn't know. And right before my eyes Ai and Eigi also approached us from the opposite direction. So to put in perspective I was cornered from every angle from every direction. Each direction would have to interact with the peers approaching me.
Well... I just have to let them approach me. Then let them lead the conversation, I only have to answer when it is necessary.
"Rial," Eigi's voice called out.
"Eigi and Ai, what are you doing here."
"We just came for some fresh air." He replied.
"The sound of music in the party was extremely loud so we got out from there."mAI also supported his statement.
"Sure."
"So what are you doing here." AI asked.
"I was just watching Mrs Celia and Sir Lugh." I said.
"Why were you watching them," she asked in a confused state.
"Just to study something I was wondering?"
"And what is that."Eigi asked too this time, somewhat assumed.
"Something about love and relationships."
"I didn't know you were interested in those things." AI said.
"I am not, just wondering." And just I said that a message from Lily was sent on my phone. We had exchanged contact info during our second encounter. "Well... anyways I have to get going, a friend asked to meet."
And as I made my way to Lily's direction, the message she had sent to me came to mind again.
"Can you come with me to meet with the king?"
At first I wanted to ask for the reason. But then I realized I also needed to speak with the king himself. I wanted to know if he had an idea of the situation in the kingdom. And so I accepted her offer.
"Follow me," she said while making her way to the king's office near the party, but it was on the top floor. Which met we had to take the magic elevator.
"Wow... the view up here is wonderful." Lily stood near the window on the elevator. Which also displayed a little scene of the Northern kingdom.
"Oh, why did you take me along with you."
"I don't know. I just knew you wanted to speak with him yourself.
"Sure. But I wanted to ask him about something about this kingdom.'
"By that you do mean "the black asylum." she said that with a bit of saddest in her eyes. She seemed as if she wanted to cry but she didn't.
"How did you know about that place." I asked her to satisfy my curiosity.
"It is a long story but I just have to know. We saw one of the victims of that place, and she didn't even know to communicate nor even feel the simple human emotion."
"Huh, so that is the reason. Like our situation."
"You have the same situation as ours," She asked with a slight hesitation in her voice.
"Yeah... but ours can at least feel and communicate but still it won't hit knowing more."
We walked up to the king, who was sitting on his desk working on papers. He wore the tired expression on his face.
"Hello your majesty." Lily said.
"Oh... Duke Nawaki's daughter I am right." He asked while knowing exactly who she is.
"That is right, my name is Lily Nawaki from the kingdom hidden in the Moon." She introduced herself to him.
"Sorry for the confusion. I guess work does stress you out. Does it?"
"It does sometimes." she said.
"Forgive my poor memory but who is this young here." he asked in accordance to me.
"My name is Rial, I came with my classmates from the Star kingdom. Presented by princess Christina. I said trying to sell my act.
"Rial huh, that sounds familiar don't you think Nawaki."
"Yes, the second that came to our orbit was named Rial. It came around 10-11 years ago so a year later when I was born". Lily explained his confusion to my name.
"Is that so. And anyways what did you want?"
"I wanted to ask you about the institution that is around here." I said trying to hide the main reason I came here.
"Hmm... so you mean you heard about the black asylum huh." He said that with a guilty voice as if he wanted to change the situation.
"Yeah and it is quite concerning." Lily said.
"Yes it is but my power alone can't stop them. Because my territory is unused, right now they are on my wife's territory. And when I asked her about it she just supported the idea they produced." He said all this while knowing that outcome might happen.
I must say I had the wrong opinion about you sir.
"Why won't she do as you ask." I asked.
"Because she knew the truth. The truth about everything between us, and knew one thing that might make me obey her. So she used it against me with that facility." He said all this openly. There wasn't a single heart beat and yet he removed important pieces from the story. But even I must say he is strong, the ability to speak your heart out to somebody you barely know. That takes courage, courage that I don't even have.
"Oh... before I forget, how is the new development going." He asked Lily.
"It is going smoothly." She answered.
"So you are a developer?" I asked.
"You didn't know, she developed the whole technological system we see today." The king said in excitement because he had supported her in making all that. He has provided her with money, minerals, etc.
"Oh... is that so."
"Anyway you can leave now. Some visitors are also coming in."
"Thank you, your majesty," we both bowed our heads.
"So you are smart huh,"I said.
"Nope I just focus on finding something that I lost." She said.
