I left the village and changed, somehow, hid my quirks. Demon shit.
I'm relatively human right now. I head back and everyone is looking for the demon. Aka, me. Yet they walk right past me, not caring or suspecting a thing from me.
The village has flaming pitchforks and spears. I mean.
Love, I'm not a bloodsucking vampire. It would be cool though. I am not one of them.
I find the little girl of my past, and she greets me openly. That gets everyone's attention. The little girl who would only talk to the demon guy. Yup. Still, I act as if I was from Italy. It works; everyone leaves me after that. I'm in. Time to destroy this little village and clean it and make it new.
The child clings to me. The child's home brings papers for me to adopt her. Damn, so much for a low profile. What's the next marriage to the prince of this shit village?
Just as that thought of mind the prince walks in, the fucking flesh.

The paperwork had been completed, and I made my way to leave the child-Jenna- in my arms. The prince stops me "hey. Cute child"
"Yup this is Jenna"
"what's your name?" I mean I never said my brother's name yet so it should be safe to say.
"Malcom"
"I'm Prince Neil"
"Prince?" I try to sound surprised. It's kind of hard since he does have knights outside the adoption center.
"Papa! I want a mama" Jenna says
"We'll talk later" I sniped.
Prince Neil stared at me "She has no mother?"
"I just adopted her, so no she doesn't, why?"
"Martin, it is not my place to say but are you sure that you can raise a child alone?"
"What are you suggesting?"
"That you accept help from people and know when they are offering help"
"Are you offering help"
"Yes, come on let's get you settled at my place."
Well damn, this is gone well wrong.
The thing is that if I get caught like this, what will happen to me? Would I die? I mean this little girl knows, what if she is older, she would hate that she was raised by a monster.
Though Prince Neil isn't going to let me hang here for much longer. Jenna clings closer to me and whines saying that she wants to see Prince Neil, and I begin to walk towards the prince when I hear a shout. Someone had just died. They had a curse mark on their face, that's grim. I hide Jenna's line of sight as Prince Neil looks at me and I shake my head; this was a caster's work not a demon. He smiles as he then focuses on Jenna picking her up as I head over to the body.
I examine it carefully and the person weeping over the body tries to move me and I say softly "he's alive, the caster hasn't finished with him yet, what could he have done that triggered a caster to act?" the woman pointed at Jenna.
"That blasted girl got the beating she deserved, and she went off crying, my husband here went to her and her, she bit him like an animal. Unhuman things have happened since she had come here, seeking people's help like the vermin she is"
"That is my daughter you are talking about, yet it makes sense that she would bite someone if she was just beaten, protection. Anyways you think a young child would manage to almost kill a man in his prime years?"
The woman gasps at my blunt response. As if I was the person that committed this silly crime. Like no one cares if he killed people but as soon as an outsider is involved everyone cares? The prince himself is here watching you do this! Yet you are so bold.
"Ma'am, I advise you step away as he has his final moment" the woman steps away as her husband vanishes. My doing, yes, this man must have triggered a caster and I am going to find that caster, meaning this isn't over. The woman clings to me, like ew, I want to wash everything now since she seems so handsy.
"Thank you, kind sir, please take care of yourself and see me soon" Like hell I would.
"Of course, Ma'am please make your mind as ease that I will get to the bottom of this"
I then returned to the prince and my new daughter. The prince was smiling "so where'd the body go?" I think it over for a minute.
"The caster must have taken it back to confirm it's death"
"You sure know a lot my fellow good sir"
"Never call me good sir again, thank you"
"Yet it was okay for that lovely Ma'am to?"
"Yes, she doesn't know my name"
"Tell me Malcom, what makes you so sure you are accepting help and it's not me needing help?"
"Since I am new to this and if you need help, just ask. I'll help you where I can"
"Very well, I am in need to an heir and then my mind can be at ease"
"And you want that heir to be Jenna which means you'd be her second parent"
"And your husband"

"What are you trying to do here, Prince Neil?"
"I could as you the same thing, after all you're not human, are you?" My steps don't falter as I stare ahead, Jenna clinging to Neil and is fast asleep. The thought of leaving her again breaks me, yet I can't leave her with Neil either.
"If I wasn't what would you do?"
"Nothing, marry me and I can promise that you are safe and no one will manage to find out you are a demon and if not well, I'll have Jenna and an unfaithful runaway bride."
I stare at the castle that is soon going to be my prison. "Fine, so be it. If nothing rash happens"
"I can't believe I made a deal with the devil. Yet have no fear, tell me how did you hide your features so well? I see you with the other demon and the hunter, you looked magnificent"
"You were following me?"
"Even before the change, Listen Malcom, if that is your real name"
"It is"
"You were a police officer, and you saved Jenna, then you became like the other demon, yet you kept on fighting, that's when I knew that you'd be the future of my life"
"What a crappy way of saying you stalked me since before I met Anton"
"Yes, but like me you also have some knowledge of the people you care about, can wait to see what happens next"
I get to the gates and there was no problem getting in, yet the problem is that Neil says "Malcom can you change Jenna there is a dress in our room"
"'our room?' what are you talking about?"
"Let me show you" he takes my hand and guides me to the king's chambers and heaven's. It is beautiful. I make a small noise in my throat before finding Neil's eyes on me.
I smile as his ice blue eyes widen, the thought of the past forgotten and the future is getting more exciting, the thought of fighting to stay is very tempting.
The prince smiles softy before saying "save that look for later" and leaving me in the room with Jenna, I quickly help her change before changing myself into a suit that was set out beside the royal one, I look in the mirror while I do my tie, Neil walks in saying "You look stunning my little princess" as the maid takes Jenna to go play in her new dress.
I finish my tie, slightly wonky but it looks professional as far as I can go, Neil notices and laughs coming closer and undoing my tie. He ties it gently and his eyes fixated on the tie and he smiles, "There you go" I smile softly.
"Thank you"
