"So, what's your plan?" Shisui asked.
'My plan, huh, I don't really have one...' Yuta thought as his mind was trying to calculate the possibilities for resolving the Uchiha clan crisis, 'Maybe Shisui will have the ideas.'
"As I see the situation right now, there is three sides to this problem." Yuta started to reveal what he knows, so maybe Shisui would be able to find a better solution, "The Hokage and the Uchiha clan's patriarch wanted to resolve this situation peacefully, at least for the time being, although Fugaku would be eventually pressured by the clan to act and use force."
"And what are the third side then?" Shisui asked in a heavy tone.
"Danzo Shimura." Yuta said with disdain, "I told you before not to trust Danzo for a reason. He is doing all he could to suppress the Uchiha clan, he sees Uchiha as a threat to the village, and not as the part of it. It's impossible to reason with him or change his mind. He will do everything in his power to eliminate the Uchiha clan and only spare a select few, so the bloodline won't be lost to the village."
Shisui had a grave expression hearing about it. Although it was hard for him to digest, still he trusted Yuta.
"He is the Second-in-Command after the Lord Hokage..." Shisui said gravely.
"More so" Yuta continued, "Danzo Shimura and Hiruzen Sarutobi are both from the same squad under the Second Hokage, they both went through a lot and Hiruzen Sarutobi trusts Danzo blindly and believes that Danzo always acts for the betterment of the village. He sees Danzo as a closest friend, he even forgave and covered up Danzo's attempting Kudeta and sending assasins after him in his attempt to take over the title of the Hokage."
"WHAT!?" Shisui became pale.
"Yes, that indeed happened." Yuta affirmed, he felt tired from all the chakra depletion and the stress from before, but he suppressed it and continued, "It is true, that the current state of events is the direct result of the suspicion, that the Uchiha clan was behind the Nine-Tails incident two years ago, and the tension will only grow from now on."
"Is this suspicion true? Is the Uchiha clan was behind that?" Shisui asked anxiously.
"In a way." Yuta said as he thought about how much he should tell, "It was a rouge Uchiha who did it, he faked his own death during the war and joined some powerful organization, and he has the Mangekyo Sharingan."
"Another Mangekyo..." Shisui said in shock, until now he believed that he was the only one among the Uchiha who awakened Mangekyo Sharingan after Madara Uchiha.
'This news hit him much harder than I thought. I guess, although MS is not a big deal from my point of view, as there were a lot of MS users in the anime – Madara, Obito, Shisui, Itachi, Sasuke... even Kakashi. Still, Shisui believed that he was the only MS user alive, and only other one he knew is probably Madara – who are presumably long since dead, also maybe there's still some records about Madara's brother, but that's about it.'
"Anyway, after the incident, under the village's suspicion, Uchiha clan and the Police Force that is under the Uchiha control, was relocated to the outskirts of the village and placed under a heavy surveillance, this decision was pushed by Danzo and Hokage agreed to it. And the Uchiha clansmen are mostly aware of that and felt the distrust from the village."
"And it made many Uchiha clansmen dissatisfied with the village." Shisui concluded.
"Yes, and it only worsen from here." Yuta said confidently.
"Then, what's your plan on how to deal with it?" Shisui asked with urgency.
"I... Sigh, I still don't have one yet, I need more time." Yuta said as he sighed tiredly, "Don't worry, we will come up with something soon enough."
"I see." Shisui said a little dejected, "While Danzo wants to eliminate the Uchiha, Hokage and Fugaku both wants to repair the relationships between the Uchiha and the village, but as dissatisfaction in the clan grows, Uchiha clan won't change first and won't make first steps towards a peaceful resolution, and if Uchiha don't change, village won't change either..."
"Remember this, as things are now, everything you tell the Hokage, Danzo will know about it as well." Yuta warned Shisui one last time, as he felt that he must emphasize this strongly.
"Don't worry, I won't tell the Hokage about you." Shisui said.
After some thought, Shisui said hesitantly, "I could only use my Kotoamatsukami once, there will be a long time period until I will be able to use it again. I could change the mind of either Danzo or Fugaku with it, but not both. But since you said that Fugaku is still wants to find a peaceful solution, maybe I should use Kotoamatsukami on Danzo, to stop his hostilities against the Uchiha and become completely loyal to the village and the Hokage, but would that be enough to resolve the distrust between the village and the Uchiha clan?"
"Even if that is not enough, it sounds like a good plan, since with Danzo still in the picture, I don't think it would be possible to resolve the situation peacefully, he wouldn't allow that to happen. But you should be careful, if you already reported about your Kotoamatsukami to the Hokage, that means Danzo knows about it too, and knowing him, he will be always on guard against it."
"Yuta, can't you... can't you already see the outcome if I try to do it?" "I don't know everything..." Yuta said regretfully, as he thought, 'But if something bad happens, I'll fix it!'
"I understand. I'll see you later." Shisui said.
Yuta saw that Shisui was about to leave, he said, "Wait, didn't you wanted to teach me some genjutsu?"
"Some other time, sorry, right now I have to process everything you told me." Shisui said apologetically and vanished.
'Sigh... That was a long day. I don't feel like continuing my workout today, I'm feeling like I'm about to collapse...' Yuta thought tiredly, as he went back home.
A couple days passed, and Shisui came to visit Yuta during his training again.
"Ready to learn some new jutsu?" Shisui said casually as he suddenly appeared beside Yuta. Although Shisui appeared casual, there was a bit of heaviness in his demeanor.
"Sure." Yuta replied as he stopped his workout and looked at Shisui. Although he was a little startled by Shisui's sudden and unnoticed appearance, he mostly got used to it by now.
"I'll teach you a couple basic genjutsu techniques first before we go to the advanced stuff. Did you already learn basics of chakra manipulations and hand seals at the academy?"
As Yuta nodded, Shisui continued, "Although there are some genjutsu that affect the area or an object to create illusions that everyone would see, like Clone jutsu, they function differently than the more commonly used type of genjutsu – the type that affects person's chakra network and make said person to be affected by illusions that only they would see."
"Like the Sharingan genjutsu?" Yuta asked.
"Yes. If you want to demonstrate some advanced genjutsu usage and get graduated early, you have to master this type of genjutsu.
All genjutsu of this commonly used type work in the same way. The first step is to affect the target's chakra network with the chakra of your own. And second – interfere with the target's senses through their chakra network in a specific way."
As Yuta was deep in thoughts trying to understand the inner workings of genjutsu, Shisui continued, "Of course, basic level genjutsu techniques are not that hard to grasp, if you have the aptitude for it that is. Basic genjutsu usually only require you to perform a set of hand seals, mold your chakra in a specific way, and control it to cast a genjutsu on a person, basically, chakra control is the key here."
"I see. Then what about the advanced genjutsu, how they are different from the usual stuff?" Yuta asked curiously.
"There are multiple ways to approach the advanced techniques in this area. There are many types of advanced genjutsu, some of them are just a stronger version of normal genjutsu, that are performed with a set of hand seals, without any medium being used other than the user's chakra, transferred through the air.
But those genjutsu all has one major weakness to them – they require the user to transfer their chakra onto the target's chakra network for them to work, and that in turn, requires them to come close to the target, as well as the set of hand seals is a dead giveaway of the genjutsu being performed."
"And any experienced shinobi would immediately catch on and dispel the genjutsu" Shisui continued, "Or if the genjutsu is too strong for the target to dispel it on their own, there would normally be their comrades around to do the job. Also, this method of casting genjutsu is crude by nature and hard to hide from the target, experienced shinobi catch on quickly when affected by such techniques."
"So, this type of genjutsu techniques is that bad?" Yuta asked, feeling a little dejected, since he understood that this type of genjutsu would be his starting point.
"No, in fact, such techniques are the majority of the genjutsu that is being used in battle. They had problems, but there is no jutsu in the world that is flawless." Shisui explained patiently.
"There is no flawless jutsu in the world huh, I wonder if that's true..." Yuta mumbled thoughtfully.

A bit of theory on genjutsu here, I hope it won't bore you too much, but I feel like I must establish the general rules for this story rather sooner than later. And since the genjutsu field was explored poorly in the original work, I will write about it as I see it, and it might not be completely in line with canon, I hope you'll understand.
