Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 : Restriction

Once I had everything, I stood up and turned away. As soon as the office door clicked shut behind me, I walked into the main godown.

Rows of metal containers stretched across the warehouse, stacked high. Enough product to ruin thousands of lives—or to finance something far larger.

I checked the guards I had taken down earlier. Still unconscious. I scanned the ceiling and walls. No cameras pointed my way.

"Summon," I whispered.

The concrete beneath my feet darkened. Thick purple liquid bubbled up through the cracks, slowly forming the Slime. Its translucent body pulsed with a faint inner glow, unnatural and unsettling.

I pointed toward the containers.

Without a sound, it surged forward. Crates vanished one after another into its massive body. No scraping. No crashing. Just silent consumption.

In less than a minute, the entire inventory was gone.

I dismissed the Slime and walked out of the warehouse.

At the loading dock, the remaining workers were huddled together in the corner. They hadn't seen the Slime—I had kept it hidden among the containers—but they could clearly see that everything was gone.

"From now on," I said calmly, my voice echoing through the empty space, "you're not selling to the local streets."

Their heads snapped up.

"You will only store it and supply it to the locations I give you". While saying this, I asked for a pen and notebook and wrote down all my club and bar locations. I then continued, "I will be your supplier from now on. I will send you drugs that I take from Japan, and you will supply them forward to these locations. Don't ever try to name me if you get caught."

Internally thinking, 'I need them as a bridge. If anything happens, I can just shift the blame to them.'

A few of them tried to protest. Loyalty to their old bosses flared briefly.

It didn't last long.

I moved through them quickly, using controlled force. I didn't kill anyone. I just broke their resistance. Within minutes, they were kneeling on the cold concrete, pale and shaking.

They understood.

Their old bosses were finished and I'm their new boss .

From everything I learned, one fact became clear.

Most drugs weren't produced in Korea. They were imported, then distributed nationwide. Only a small portion was manufactured locally.

That meant leverage.

Restlessness followed me as I rode out of Gangbuk. Since my reincarnation, I had been confined to this district.

This was the PTJ universe—a world filled with monsters and legends.

I wanted to see them and check how much the lookism story have proceeded.

I pushed my bike toward the northern boundary.

Then the world bled red by systems red screen warning.

A translucent screen exploded into view.

[SYSTEM WARNING: TERRITORY RESTRICTION]

Notice: User is restricted to the Gangbuk region

Penalty: Crossing this boundary will result in the immediate forfeiture of all System powers and Rewards till now .

I slammed the brakes, the bike skidding slightly as it stopped inches from the invisible line.

"What the hell…?" I muttered.

I stared at the screen, my jaw tightening.

'What the fuck is it a leash?'

That's what it felt like.

"Are you serious?" I growled under my breath. "You treat me like some dog tied to a post can't I even go outside?"

The red screen hovered there, unmoving.

I cursed the system openly for several minutes. Every frustration I had poured out—about being trapped, about being restricted, about being forced to play inside invisible lines.

Why?

Is it Because the Questism storyline hasn't ended yet?

Or because the system itself only works here?

Neither answer satisfied me.

After calming down slightly, I decided to test it properly.

First, I summoned the Slime . The purple mass rose from the asphalt without issue. I commanded it to go forward.

It crossed the boundary line.

No warning or penalty.

Next, I activated Cloud Copy. Blue sparks wrapped around me before separating into a perfect duplicate. I ordered the copy to move forward.

It crossed the line safely and turned back to look at me.

So the restriction wasn't on these .

It's only on me .

'The system is anchoring my original body,' I realized. 'Assets like Cloud Copies can move. But the player need to stay in the boundary .'

Annoying.

I wasn't ready to lose my powers just to explore.

I turned the bike around and headed home, the engine's growl matching my irritation.

The moment I entered the house, the heavy atmosphere of the underworld vanished.

I removed my boots at the door and froze.

Seohee and Seojun were sitting on the sofa with my mother, laughing at some meaningless variety show. A bowl of popcorn rested between them, the TV's glow lighting their faces.

For a moment, I just stood there.

In my previous life back in India, I had been an orphan.

No shared dinners. No family evenings. Just survival.

Seeing them like this—Seohee's sharp edge softened by laughter, Seojun relaxed for once—hit something deep inside me.

A real smile formed before I could stop it.

I joined them.

We talked about nothing important. Jokes. Teasing. Small things that didn't matter—but somehow mattered the most.

Dinner followed. It felt less like a meal and more like a celebration.

Later, I called Seohee and Seojun to my room.

"Report on the mission I have you," I said.

Seohee spoke first.

"I found a location. Central Gangbuk. An abandoned warehouse complex with underground levels and multiple exits. Legally, it's in a gray zone. We can acquire it using your grandfather's influence."

I nodded. "Good."

Seojun went next.

"I found that boy named Dowoon Lee he have Light brown hair as you described. But I didn't approach him."

"Why?" I asked.

"There was someone with him," Seojun said. "he have a Terrifying aura and looks like a bully type."

It should be him

Taehoon Seong.

Him being there means The plot was already moving.

"Tomorrow after the school , you're taking me to that middle school," I said.

He nodded.

" Tomorrow Training starts at 4:00 AM," I added.

Seojun left immediately, determination to become strong was clear in his eyes.

Seohee lingered at the door.

"What?" I smirked. "Planning to sleep with me ?"

She rolled her eyes. "In your dreams. I just wanted to ask—why train Seojun? He's not a fighter , and I don't like to train ."

"He has potential to become very Strong," I replied. "And you don't need to be a fighter. You just need enough strength to protect yourself when I'm not around."

She didn't say anything this time.

"…Goodnight," she said quietly and left.

I lay down on my bed and closed my eyes.

Tomorrow would be busy.
