Chapter 20 - Chapter 19: Chaos & Guests

Jayjay POV

I froze.

"Luna Valdez." I whispered, realizing who it was and Hex, without a second thought, ran straight into her arms, almost knocking the laptop delivery out of her hands.

"Careful, Hex!" I shouted.

Hex waved me off. "Jayjay wants to spank me!" he announced loudly to Luna, puffing up like it was the most important fact in the world.

I blinked. "…I haven't even touched you."

Hex ignored me and leaned closer to Luna, tugging his own ear. "She pulled my ear, see?" he said dramatically.

Luna raised an eyebrow and laughed softly, glancing at me.

I sighed, shaking my head.

Hex finally turned back to me, suddenly switching tones. Polite, overly formal. Sarcasm laced every word. "My sincerest apologies, Miss Jayjay. I shall endeavor to behave henceforth, though your accusations are… preposterous."

I crossed my arms. "Really? Preposterous? You were playing war in your pajamas, shooting everyone with toy bullets!"

Hex tilted his head, hands behind his back. "Ah, yes, but consider the strategic value, the morale, the… dramatic tension."

Seriously

"You are impossible!" I groaned, but Hex just smirked, hiding his amusement behind his polite tone.

Then a voice rang out—in Spanish.

"Siempre hay caos cuando yo llego."

I froze. "Ohh, Lord… he's here too" I sank onto the couch.

Another man entered behind her. Taller, dark-haired, confident. I immediately recognized him. Luna's boyfriend.

Hex screamed, louder than I thought possible: "DR!"

He leaped across the room, arms wide, and hugged Diego De La Rosa like he hadn't seen him in years.

I stood up, muttering under my breath, and quietly made my way to the dining hall where the others had already gathered.

Keifer noticed me immediately. "Who are they?"

I sighed. "This is Luna Valdez. She's 20, Leo's older sister. Always traveling. And that's Diego De La Rosa Luna, her Spanish boyfriend." I gestured toward them. "He speaks Spanish and English. Learning Tagalog."

I glanced at Hex. He was already opening the laptop box, muttering "cool" under his breath as he admired it.

I turned to Keifer. "And you guys… what are you doing here anyway?"

"I promised Hex I'd come with the boys," Keifer said casually.

I scowled. "Don't think I've forgiven you for the smile prank."

Keifer smirked. "Okay… so what do you want?"

"A simple sorry," I replied.

"Not happening," he said, deadpan.

"Why not?"

Ci-N, who had been listening quietly, muttered, "Keifer never says sorry or explains anything."

Keifer's smirk softened. "…Sorry."

The room went silent. Everyone stared at him. Even I blinked in disbelief.

Ci-N reached forward and touched his head. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Keifer said nothing then finishing his breakfast calmly.

Then he started walking toward the stairs.

I frowned. "Where are you going?"

"The washroom," he said.

"You don't know where it is—"

"I will find it," he interrupted confidently.

I looked at Hex. "Go show him."

Hex, completely unbothered, walked over, opened his mouth… then stopped.

"Jay! I'm hungry! Please, let me eat!" he yelled, throwing himself dramatically onto the nearest chair.

I sighed, exasperated. "Keifer, wait—"

Luna leaned over. "I think he's already up, Jayjay."

"Shit!" I muttered. I sprinted upstairs, calling out to Luna, "I'll be back!"

Meanwhile, I kept calling Keifer repeatedly, making sure he was still within earshot… because Hex had already taken over the table
