The night was going smoothly. Some passing jokes and fun banters were happening, Caelion was constantly teasing the other two. Everyone was having a nice time, the mood of the room was jubilant. That was until Aurelion decided to stir things up.
"Miss Evelyn...," He called, "Would it be alright for us to have a private conversation about the engagement?"
Evelyn stopped chewing,she picked up a napkin and gently brushed it against her mouth. She pondered about her schedule and came to a conclusion. "I mean, I won't be able to converse with you after dinner but if it is something urgent, I shall make some time in my schedule right now." She answered.
"No worries, we can just have a sitting together, tomorrow. I hope that is okay with you though." Aurelion said.
"Of course, that won't be a problem but forgive me for being blunt but by any chance, are you trying to break the engagement?" Evelyn asked, her look was stern, eyes sharp and focused on Aurelion's answer.
