Chapter 15 - 15.

Junseo turned when someone banged his door open. A shocked smile came on his face when he saw Sangwon walk into his room. He couldn't remember the last time he saw him there.

He stood up smiling. "Sang—

His head immediately fell in the direction of Sangwon's punch.

He wiped his lip and looked at Sangwon.

"What's this Sangwon?" He asked, his face twisting in hurt.

Sangwon gritted his teeth as he glared at him.

'I know you're the one who framed Leo'

"Sangwon.." Junseo called visibly hurt.

"Why.. Why would you think that? Leo is like a brother to me. Why would I do something to hurt him?"

Sangwon scoffed.

'You and your brother nonsense. You're two-faced. I know you did it. You've always wanted to take everything from me.

Now you want to take Leo from me. You know how ruthless Father is yet you did that. Have you no shame?'

"Sangwon I did not do that. How- why? Where's all this coming from?" Sangwon slapped his hand away when Junseo tried to hold him.

'Anxin told me you told him to forbid me from seeing Leo'

Junseo clicked his tongue sighing.

'Are you that heartless? You wanted me to suffer alone. You didn't want me to see him. I know you hate me but leave Leo out of this'

"That was not why I forbade you from seeing him. Sang–

'I'm tired of hearing your stupid lies. All my life, all you've done is abandon me in pain. When will you stop?

I know you're so eager to see me out of your life. Isn't that why you easily accepted the marriage? So you can move out of here.

You don't want to see my face anymore right?

Good. I don't want to either. Get married and leave here. Start your new family after abandoning me.

Leave. I don't care.' Sangwon glared, turning as he stormed off.

Junseo looked up trying to blink away the tears that formed. He folded his lips turning away from the door. He plopped back to his seat.

His tears escaped after his failed attempt to keep them in. He shook his head. Sangwon would never understand not even if he explained.

Five months ago

Junseo stood before his father. His head down. His father threw a picture at him. He bent down and picked the picture up. He saw a girl.

"I've arranged a marriage for your brother"

His eyes widened as he looked at his father in shock.

"What other way to get him out of here. A house will be prepared for him to live with his spouse. Far away in another state."

"F-Father.. but.. Sangwon just turned Sixteen. He's still young. He's not even done with his studies. Please reconsider father"

Sangryeok paid no attention to him.

"The marriage has been discussed already. Having a mute son is as embarrassing as it already is. He is of no use to me"

Junseo looked at him in disbelief. He couldn't let Sangwon's life end that way. Sangwon dreamed of being a Pianist. Exploring other countries as he played.

Junseo knew this because he was the reason for Sangwon's dream. Sangwon looked up to him for years, learning how to play from him.

He basically taught him everything he knew. Sangwon dreamed of the two of them playing side by side forever.

That is, till the accident that claimed their mother and his hand. Leaving his left hand disabled.

Still, Junseo tries his best to see Sangwon achieve his dream. Even when he's given up on his.

Now this? A marriage?

This would tie Sangwon down. His colors would fade. He couldn't let this happen.

"Father. I... I'll marry her in his place"

Sangryeok looked at him with an arched eyebrow.

"If I marry her, not only will it build ties between our states. More benefits will ensue. Her father's followers will begin to follow you.

You can be the Governor of the state again if I play my cards well." Junseo said and Sangryeok sat up with a smirk.

"You're smart after all" Sangryeok said and Junseo looked down.

"It seems after I shot that fool, your brain has gotten back. I was thinking of a way to get rid of you too but now you're getting useful I see"

Junseo clenched his fists at his father's words.

"A faggot has no place in this country. It's good he's dead now. He was staining you. Now you bear good use"

Junseo gritted his teeth not wanting his tears to fall. He didn't want to look weak in front of him.

Not after he shot his lover.

A year ago, News reached Sangryeok about Junseo's secret infatuation with a man at the office. He wasted no time in assassinating him.

Junseo only got to know about his death when he got back from the business trip his father sent him on.

His love story that never got to begin, ended.

All because he liked a man.

Someone else died because of him.

First his mother, now the person he loved.

He wasn't going to let his father ruin Sangwon's life. If it meant ruining his life, he would. Sangwon was his top priority.

Forever.

Present

Junseo harshly wiped his tears. He nodded to himself as he forcefully put on a smile. He picked up his pen and continued working on his papers.

His hand shaking as he wrote, wiping the tears that threatened to escape.

It's okay. Even if Sangwon will forever hate him.

It doesn't matter.

As long as he's happy.
