The voice and the person did not match even a little. The tall beautiful curvy woman, with beautiful tanned skin did not look like someone who would own such a horrible voice.
"This is Alicia." Tazamun replied taking a sit on one of the two chairs present in what looked like the living room.
"Alicia." The woman pronounced in that same horrible voice, it made Alicia flinch.
"What's with the voice? You are scaring her." Tazamun said lazily, she looked like a goddess as she sat down on the chair with her legs crossed and a slightly serious expression on his face.
"Alicia, have a seat." The woman said returning to her normal voice that sounded sweet and beautiful to the ears.
Alicia walked towards the chair opposite Tazamun and sat down.
"I was testing voice changing potions." The woman replied answering Tazamun's earlier question.
"Okay, erm well there's news." Tazamun said looking like someone who had juicy gossip.
"What is it?" The woman asked.
"She's the one." Tazamun said excitedly.
The woman opened her eyes in astonishment staring at the girl in front of her, though she is taller than most humans, curvier than an average human, she is still human.
"What?" The woman exclaimed not hiding her surprise in front of Alicia.
"Yes, she came with the book." Tazamun replied rubbing her palms together.
Alicia just watched in silence, they discussed her as if she wasn't even present.
"What did you feel when you were on your way here?" The woman said suddenly turning to Alicia and walking up close.
As the woman drew nearer, her features became more visible, she put on tight pants and a little top revealing her thin waist line. Her facial features were undeniably flawless. The question caught Alicia of guard as she wasn't prepared for this kind of question.
"W___what do you mean?" Alicia asked in return.
"She's a human Malika, she won't understand what you are talking about." Tazamun said as she saw the surprise and fear on Alicia's face.
"Erm, what do you mean am human? Aren't we all humans?" Alicia suddenly summoned the courage to ask, since she came they had been referring to her as human as if they were from some other part of the world with other species. Little did she know her question had elements of truth.
"She is completely clueless." Malika continued completely ignoring Alicia's question.
"We need to make her understand." Tazamun replied.
"How do I go home?" Alicia asked again louder this time.
"Alicia, you have been chosen to fight for the Vampire and human race." Malika said as if she was reporting a major headline on TV.
Alicia looked at her stunned for a few seconds before she started laughing.
"You must be joking right." Alicia said still laughing, she took of her glasses to wipe off the tear drops that fell as a test of her laughing and put them back on, but when she saw the serious expression on their faces her heart started beating wildly, her face covered in sweat, her palms clammy.
"Y__You're serious." Alicia said standing up slowly.
"Relax is not as bad as you think." Malika said as if she had anticipated Alicia's reaction beforehand.
"Alicia, relax and let me explain, please sit." Tazamun said feeling a pang of pity for Alicia as she knew how it felt to be told that creatures you never imagined existed actually existed.
Alicia trying to process what Malika had said didn't know there is more to come.
"Alicia, you are in Qasira. A city where only vampires live." Tazamun started explaining and Alicia's eyes widened in more surprise, her head started to spin.
"Some humans visit occasionally, but it's strictly business, but there are some humans who live near Qasira and only enter the city when it's important." Tazamun explained.
"So you're a vampire." Alicia stated the obvious as she finally took a seat trying to calm herself down.
"Yes, so is Malika." Tazamun replied calmly, patiently waiting for Alicia to absorb the information.
"So what is she saying about me fighting a war and saving vampires and humans." Alicia asked, her voice shaking in both fear and surprise.
"There are good and bad vampires, the good ones don't need anything more than they have right now and live peacefully with the humans. But, the bad or strayed ones want world domination, they want to control both the human and vampire world. They will turn humans to slaves and kill any vampire or human who tries to rebel." Tazamun explained carefully.
This information was getting too much for Alicia, her heartbeat didn't slow down even one bit. She pinched herself to see if this was one of those bad dreams that she would soon wake up from, but no this is reality, she is sitting in the same room as two female vampires and oh God she wanted to run so badly, but they would catch her anyways.
"But you are vampires, stronger than a human. Why can't you stop them yourselves?" Alicia asked in a voice that was barely a whisper.
"They have wielded some kind of power that is making them more powerful than normal vampires, making it impossible to beat them. They are almost invincible with that kind of power and they need to be stopped before they gain access to all that dark power." Malika replied this time around, pacing round the room as if she was explaining her enemies strength and weaknesses to her partners.
"So vampires can not stop them and I am supposed to stop them. This doesn't make sense at all." Alicia said her body still shaking a bit.
"You were chosen, you will be given the power to stop them." Malika responded.
"Okay, I need time to think about this, I need to get back to school." Alicia responded weakly, the information she heard weighed heavily on her head and she started feeling a headache.
"Okay, but please we are running out of time, we have children, women and people who are to weak to fight for themselves this includes humans who are depending on you. We need you Alicia, the whole world does." Tazamun said in a gentle and calm voice looking Alicia straight in the eye.
"Just take me home, I need to think and clear my head." Alicia responded as she stood up preparing to walk out the door.
"Don't forget your book." Malika said handing the book back to Alicia.
"It's blank." Alicia said wondering what she was going to do with a blank book.
"It will show you what it contains once you accept your responsibility." Tazamun said also getting up.
"Take her to Malik, he'll send her back home." Malika said.
Malik and Malika, what weird names vampires had.
"See you later." Tazamun said to Malika as she walked out the door.
Alicia took one last look at the stunning Malika, Malika waved at h
er and she waved back, she then followed Tazamun outside and closed the door gently behind her.
