[3rd POV]
As it turns out, dating Haley Dunphy was...great!
Like genuinely great. The teen was amazing. And while they couldn't go past a certain point due to her being a few months younger than Billie, making her 17 while Billie was 18. It was a bit of a grey area, so they decided to limit it to dates and kissing nothing more.
Legally they were fine due to the laws, but still.
Either way, their dates had been amazing, and they began to sing with one another more and more.
And after being together for four months, they released their first song together. Lovely.
It had blown up, like, truly blown up. Especially once they saw that it had another artist featured on it, a woman that nobody had ever heard of. Her artist name simply being "HD" as in Haley Dunphy. It was a simple one, but Billie had to admit that it wasn't bad.
And thanks to that, Haley began to produce other music with Billie's help.
The first album she had created was "Yours Truly" which had been the same album created by Ariana Grande in her past life. And like Billie expected, thanks to her feature in Lovely, she had gotten a lot of attention with the release of her album.
And it had given her a lot of momentum. Thanks to this, it had hit 2x Platinum and brought in a lot of money for Haley. And while it was nothing compared to Billie, it was a huge and fantastic start. Considering it topped the charts it was still great.
And the money it had given Haley was also great. But she didn't use most of it yet, as she knew that it would catch a lot of attention from her parents. So instead she used the money more lowkey. Like going out for food and paying for it when she went out with Billie.
Mostly because she wanted to be able to brag that she could pay for an expensive dinner with her girlfriend. Billie found it cute, so she didn't stop her.
Just like Billie, Haley hadn't shown her face just yet, but she planned on doing it soon. Mostly because she wasn't too afraid of her family finding out, as she wasn't nearly as big as Billie was. So it'd take a bit of looking for them to even realize who she was.
But, it would seem that did not matter.

"Did you guys notice that Haley has been acting...strange recently?" A teen asked, this teen was in fact Alex Dunphy, Haley's younger sister.
"Isn't she always strange?" Luke, the youngest sibling asked.
"Luke don't be rude, and yes, yes I did notice that Haley is acting...different" Claire, their mother cut in, giving her son a sharp look before responding to Alex.
"You know, I have noticed that she has been out and about a lot more. And she doesn't ask for money nearly as much as she used to. You think something is wrong?" Phil Dunphy asked, the father of the children of the family, and the husband of Claire.
"I wouldn't say something is wrong...but she is definitely up to something. And knowing her...that might not be a good thing" Claire responded, a sigh escaping her as she realized that she would need to find out what that thing is.

[Confessional]
"You know, I love Haley. I really really do. But...she is...not exactly the type to "Change things up" so to say. And asking for money? Yeah, that is like numero uno on the most common things that come out of her mouth" Claire spoke, while Phil chuckled.
"That and "Mom!"" He added, causing his wife to glare at him before turning back.
"Whatever she was up to...I'll find out, I always do. Even if I have to get the entire family to help me"

[Back to normal]
"What're you guys talking about?" Haley asked as she walked into the kitchen, a look of confusion on her face.
"Oh nothing. So, what are you up to today? Are you doing anything for college?" Claire asked her daughter, as Haley shrugged before looking down at her phone and giggling.
"Haley?" Claire said again.
"I don't know, just stop bugging me about it please. I've got more important things to do. I'll be back later!" Haley said before leaving the kitchen moments later, not even hesitating.
The others watched her run off a bit confused.
"Okay yeah, she is definitely up to something" Phil said, nodding in agreement with Alex and his wife's opinions. He had never seen her run off so quickly, not even for a boy. She hadn't even eaten breakfast, and she very rarely skips breakfast.
"Should we spy on her? I can spy on her!" Luke offered, with Claire shaking her head.
"No honey, we're not going to spy on her" Claire responded.

[Confessional]
"We are absolutely going to spy on her" Claire said in her "Confessional".

"Well then, I'm off to work!" Phil said, pecking his children on the forehead and his wife on the lips, before walking off to get to his realtor business.
"Have fun!" Claire said awkwardly as Phil left. The second he was gone, she turned to Alex and Luke who were both looking at her knowingly.
"Alright come on, operation "Find out what Haley is doing" is a go!"

As it turns out, finding out what the hell Haley was doing was not an easy thing. It was actually difficult enough that they needed to call in some backup as they followed the girl travel around.
That backup?
Claire's Brother Mitchell.
And his boyfriend Cam.
The two were pretty...interesting folk. Not because they were gay, but because they had a very interesting dynamic and an even more interesting personality. Cam was especially unique.
"So uh, why exactly are we here? And why were we told to leave Lily back home?" Mitchell asked, talking about their adopted daughter Lily.
"Because we're spying on Haley trying to find out what she is doing" Alex responded bluntly.
"What no- well...actually yeah. She has been acting really really...suspicious recently. You know, sneaking around, giggling, acting even more strange than usual"
"That sounds perfectly normal for-" "She hasn't asked for money in a month" Claire cut off Cam.
"Okay yeah something is definitely up with her" Cam responded, nodding in agreement. He knew Haley enough to know that that is really really weird for someone like her.
"So what do you think it could be? Secret boyfriend? Doing something probably not legal or?" Mitchell asked, curious what his sister thought it could be.
"No idea! I have absolutely no idea. All I know is that my daughter is out doing something and I don't know what it is. She is acting really weird, as in, weirder than normal. And I'd like to find out what just in case it's something that can get her hurt. Now, are you going to help me find out what she is doing, or are you going to continue to ask me questions?" Claire snapped, irritated with all the questions. Cam and Mitchell raised their hands in surrender.
"Yeah yeah we'll help. It's not like we have anything else going on" Cam responded truthfully. They really didn't have anything to do either.
