Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 -- Taking Office

Coming back to his senses, Bai Yue carefully examined the changes within his body once more.

Breaking through to the Planetary Level simultaneously as both a Martial Artist and a Mental Master was no ordinary advancement—it was a qualitative leap in life. Compared to cultivators who stepped into the Planetary realm through only one path, his foundation was far more solid, his combat potential far greater.

When a Martial Artist reaches the Planetary Level, the breakthrough is not limited to a simple increase in strength. Certain innate abilities awaken as well. This was precisely why Planetary Martial Artists could stand shoulder to shoulder with Mental Masters of the same realm.

Across the universe, countless special abilities existed, yet they all fell under eight fundamental attributes: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Thunder, and Light.

The reason lay in the differences between physiques and souls. When a lifeform absorbed cosmic energy, it naturally developed biases, forming distinct types of genetic primal energy. Upon stepping into the Planetary Level, this bias would crystallize into an awakened ability.

As for Bai Yue—

What he awakened was an Earth-attributed ability: Gravity Domain.

Within a certain range, he could freely manipulate gravity.

He could reduce the gravitational pull on himself to drastically increase speed, amplify gravity to restrict opponents, or even increase the weight of his weapon at the moment of impact, multiplying the lethality of a single strike.

"…Isn't this essentially a domain?" Bai Yue pondered.

Strictly speaking, it could indeed be classified as one. However, as an awakened ability, he could use it instinctively, yet did not truly understand its underlying principles. He knew how to wield it, but not why it worked. Only after fully comprehending its laws could it evolve into a domain he truly controlled.

Three days later.

Outside Hong Ning Base City, deep within the Wilderness Area, an intelligent spaceship hovered in midair.

Below, the land looked as though it had been ravaged by an eighth-grade hurricane. The soil was torn open, ancient trees lay uprooted, and the terrain was utterly devastated.

A figure streaked forward like a bolt of lightning.

Thunder God.

Holding a long saber crackling with electric arcs, he slashed toward Bai Yue. In an instant, his body flickered forward, closing the distance as if space itself had folded.

Yet when he was still a meter away—

It was as if a massive mountain suddenly pressed down on his back.

Thunder God's explosive speed slowed sharply.

Bai Yue calmly raised the alloy long staff in his hands and blocked the incoming strike.

Condensing power at the staff's tip, Bai Yue gripped it with both hands and thrust straight forward, aiming directly at Thunder God's chest. Thunder God reacted instantly, drawing the long saber across his body to intercept.

The collision sent Thunder God flying backward.

Bai Yue did not hesitate.

Pushing off the ground, he gave chase. The long staff came crashing down from above, a single strike carrying the momentum of heaven and earth. His Gravity Domain activated in tandem, Mental Power surging, the weight of the blow becoming terrifying—so heavy it seemed to crush space itself.

Facing this earth-shattering attack, Thunder God did not panic.

Instead, he smiled.

Since the end of the Great Nirvana Era, only Hong had been able to truly contend with him on Earth. Now, with Bai Yue standing before him, Thunder God felt an unfamiliar but welcome sense of exhilaration.

Back then, once stability returned to humanity, he and Hong had founded the Thunder Dojo and the Dojo of Limits respectively, with a single purpose—to cultivate more, and stronger, warriors.

The long saber rose.

With accumulated power, Thunder God struck upward first, meeting the descending staff head-on.

Clang!

Sparks exploded outward. Shockwaves rippled through the air, compressing it into visible white rings.

Both figures were sent flying backward.

Bai Yue's internal miniature planetary field expanded instantly. His Gravity Domain stabilized his body midair, allowing him to regain balance almost immediately. Across from him, Thunder God had already steadied himself.

"That's enough for today," Hong's voice sounded from the open hatch of the intelligent fighter jet. "This afternoon, Bai Yue will officially take office as the sixth Inspector of the Dojo of Limits."

Yes.

Today was the day.

The inauguration ceremony had already been prepared earlier, but at that time, Bai Yue had not yet broken through to the Planetary Level, so it was postponed. After his breakthrough, he informed Hong without concealment—leading to today's event.

These past three days, Bai Yue had not been idle.

He had been exploring the newly awakened Dao Fruit ability—Creation.

At present, he could already use it to create certain ordinary substances, such as water and iron. More complex materials required deeper understanding, and with limited time, he had not yet mastered them.

The most significant discovery, however, lay elsewhere.

Creation could be applied directly to his own cultivation.

By creating energy identical to his own genetic primal energy and Mental Power—and then absorbing it himself—Bai Yue advanced another step within just three days. Both his genetic primal energy and Mental Power reached the second stage of the Planetary Level.

He had tested the limits.

The Dao Fruit was like an inexhaustible well. To generate an amount of energy equivalent to what currently existed in his body required roughly an hour. This did not mean his strength doubled every hour—the body still needed time to adapt—but with such abundant energy, growth was accelerated beyond conventional limits.

After breaking through to the second Planetary stage, Bai Yue challenged Hong.

The result was inevitable.

Hong, who had already mastered a true Domain, was utterly invincible at the Planetary Level. Under domain suppression, Bai Yue's techniques, Mental Power, and even his Gravity Domain were completely neutralized.

Only after personally experiencing Hong's domain did Bai Yue truly grasp the disparity.

It was absolute suppression—movement restricted, perception sealed, every action exposed to the domain's master.

Today, Thunder God had been invited specifically to attend Bai Yue's inauguration. Upon arriving, he couldn't resist dragging Bai Yue out for a morning spar.

"Let's go," Hong said calmly. "The venue should be ready."

The Inspector inauguration ceremony would be broadcast live at 2 PM.

It was a major event—not only for the Dojo of Limits, but also for the world's major powers. Though termed 'public,' such announcements were, in reality, only public to the upper echelons. Ordinary civilians would barely be aware of it.

"Alright," Bai Yue replied.

He and Thunder God boarded the intelligent fighter jet and departed.

At precisely 2 PM, inside the grand conference hall of the global Dojo of Limits headquarters, the ceremony officially began.

As the host spoke, the cameras swept across the front rows—Hong, Thunder God, the War God Palace's Third Speaker Mohanderson, and other towering figures appeared one by one.

Finally, a holographic projection lit up the stage.

"Next, we present Councilor Bai Yue, who will assume the position of Inspector of the global Dojo of Limits."

After his breakthrough to the Planetary Level, Bai Yue's rank within the War God Palace had automatically converted to Councilor.

"Even though I'm already a Councilor, this is my first time seeing so many Councilors at once," Bai Yue murmured.

Liu He, seated beside him, chuckled softly. "That's because of today. Unless something major happens, Councilors and Speakers rarely gather like this."

Bai Yue nodded.

Toward the end of the ceremony, the Dojo of Limits invited Bai Yue's former instructors and his companions from the Falcon Squad to speak, recounting his journey. The message was unified—talent, diligence, responsibility.

In essence, a flawless example was being presented.

A genius martial artist worthy of emulation.

As the final performances concluded, the inauguration ceremony for the sixth Inspector officially came to an end.
