"Who gets sleepy after drinking coffee?" Hiro asked between small chuckles. "Isn't it supposed to keep you awake?"
"I don't know." Izack smiled sheepishly. His smile was bright, as if a star had lightened the space—maybe it was because he was indeed a star, an idol, and countless people smiled just by looking at him.
"You don't know?"
"It just has been like this."
"I've never heard anything so ridiculous." Hiro shook his head, still laughing softly as he reached for the kettle.
The sound of his laughter echoed gently through the apartment. It wasn't the broken laugh from earlier nor the one he used whenever he wanted to hide his feelings.
This one was genuine. Low yet real.
Izack found himself staring. He couldn't look away. His amber eyes softened little by little until the corners of his lips curved upward without him realizing it.
"You should keep laughing." The words slipped out before he had the chance to think.
