Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - Wanting to Disappear from the World

I truly didn't want to go to school that day.

I stayed lying in bed since dawn, staring at the ceiling of my room.

The world felt too loud, too chaotic, too… full of Anto.

"I don't want to see anyone…" I whispered to myself.

Mom knocked on my door several times.

"Rina, aren't you going to school? Are you feeling okay?"

"I don't want to," I answered weakly.

Mom sighed, but she didn't force me.

At least that morning felt a little calmer.

Until…

The sound of a noisy motorcycle stopped in front of the house.

I lifted my head.

My heart sank instantly.

"Oh no… don't tell me…"

"RINAAA!"

That was Anto's voice.

I buried my face into my pillow.

"NOOOOO…"

Mom went outside.

I could hear their voices from the window.

"Oh—are you Anto? Rina's friend?"

Anto immediately flashed his most dangerously sweet smile in history.

"Yes, Auntie. We're da—"

I rushed to the window.

"ANTOOO DON'T FINISH THAT SENTENCE!!"

Too late.

Mom stared at him with sparkling eyes.

"BOYFRIEND?! Oh my goodness… Rina finally has a boyfriend!"

I wanted to pass out.

Behind Anto appeared Tey, Kane, and Tian

—all carrying backpacks and phones.

Mom looked even happier.

"Wow, so many friends! You're all so sweet, visiting Rina together."

Tey gave the fakest, sweetest smile ever.

"We care a lot about their relationship, Auntie~

We're here to check on Rina so we can update their daily relationship status."

Mom clearly didn't understand, but she smiled proudly anyway.

"Oh my… how kind of you. Have a healthy relationship, okay?

Don't forget to study. You're still students."

Then Dad came out.

His face was serious.

Anto immediately panicked and lowered his head.

"Good morning, Sir."

Dad nodded firmly.

"You're Rina's boyfriend?"

Anto glanced at me through the window.

I gave him a murderous stare.

"Y-yes, Sir…" he said, trembling.

Dad patted his shoulder.

"Study hard. Don't do anything stupid. You're still young."

Anto nodded quickly.

"Yes, Sir! Focus on studying!"

Tey struggled to hold in his laughter.

Kane was already recording.

Tian almost collapsed from happiness.

Mom invited them into the house.

💧 In the Bedroom — When Frustration Breaks

I covered my face with the blanket when my bedroom door opened.

"Rin…" Anto's voice was soft.

"What? What do you want now?" My voice cracked.

Anto sat on the edge of the bed.

Very carefully.

Like the bed might explode.

"I just… wanted to see you," he said quietly.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. I got carried away because of the guys."

I tried to answer, but my throat hurt.

"You embarrassed me…

You turned me into a spectacle…

I'm tired, To…"

Tears fell on their own, impossible to stop.

Anto panicked immediately.

"Rin… don't cry like that…"

I covered my face with my hands.

"I just want to live normally… why is that so hard for you all to understand?

I'm not an artist, not a doll… I'm just Rina…"

My sobbing broke loose.

Uncontrollable.

And without warning…

Anto moved closer.

He hugged me.

A real hug.

Warm.

Gentle.

Nothing like his usual dramatic self.

I froze.

I couldn't push him away.

I just cried against his chest.

"I'm sorry… I'm really sorry, Rin…"

His voice trembled.

"I swear I never wanted to make you suffer. I'll stop them… I promise…"

For the first time, Anto sounded honest.

No jokes. No show.

Just… Anto.

But—

CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.

We turned our heads at the same time.

At the bedroom door…

Tey stood there, phone raised.

"LIVE, GUYS!

THEIR FIRST HUG MOMENT!!

OMG THEY'RE SO CUTEEE!!"

I froze.

Anto froze.

The room went silent.

I grabbed a pillow.

Tey screamed.

"RIN—WAIT DON'T THR—"

THUD!

The pillow hit his face.

Tey fell to the floor laughing uncontrollably.

"HAHAHA—THIS IS GOLD CONTENT! VIEWERS ARE GOING UP!!"

Anto covered his face with both hands.

"Oh my god… Tey… I swear I'm going to kill you…"

I collapsed back onto the bed.

I really wanted to move to another planet.
