Third Person's POV
The silence in the courtyard defening. Everyone present exchanged glances, as if it finally clicked.
Karina stopped ten paces away, her hands shaking, her face pale as if she was truly afraid to lose someone dear to her. Her wide, terrified eyes were locked entirely on Alpha Raphael.
"Raphael," Karina choked out, her voice raspy, trembling with a primal terror she couldn't hide. "Leave her. Take whatever deal you made with the pack, but leave my daughter out of this. She has nothing to do with you anymore."
Raphael raised as amused brow as a low, mocking hum vibrated in his chest. He took a deliberate step toward her, his heavy leather boots crunching over the shattered stone. He looked down at the trembling woman like a predator observing a minor inconvenience.
