Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Sisters

Inside the hospital room, Ogawa Yu watched as Sister Stelle and Brother Midorikawa had just left, only for another man and woman to enter. He looked at them curiously and asked, "Who are you?"

Miyano Akemi and Moroboshi Dai entered the room and immediately spotted Ogawa Yu, who was back on the bed, picking up his Rubik's Cube.

He wore a relaxed smile. Although he appeared somewhat frail, his complexion was rosy, showing none of the paleness associated with being bedridden for a prolonged illness.

Moroboshi Dai thought to himself: "It seems Stelle wasn't exaggerating. Ogawa Yu really is almost fully recovered. How did she manage that?"

Miyano Akemi softened her voice and replied to Ogawa Yu's question, "We are friends with the older brother and sister who just left. We heard you were sick, Ogawa yu, so we came to visit. However..."

Miyano Akemi glanced at Ogawa Yu's face and added, "It looks like you've recovered quite well, Ogawa yu."

"You're friends with Sister Stelle?!" Ogawa Yu exclaimed in pleasant surprise. "Sister Stelle left too quickly just now; I didn't get a chance to thank her properly. Since you're her friends, could I bother you to pass on a message for me? Just tell her, 'I am truly grateful for the medicinal candy Sister Stelle gave me. When my dad returns, I will definitely ask him to repay Sister Stelle properly.'"

Miyano Akemi nodded, indicating she had noted the message.

Upon hearing Ogawa Yu mention the "medicinal candy," Moroboshi Dai made a mental note of it.

Meanwhile, Stelle and Scotland, having left the hospital, had swiftly made their way to Kisaki Eri's law firm.

Led by the receptionist, Stelle and Scotland successfully met with Kisaki Eri.

They briefly explained the situation to Kisaki Eri. After a moment of contemplation, she ultimately agreed to take the case.

Regarding the specifics, Stelle and Kisaki Eri agreed to apply to the police headquarters three days later to meet Ogawa Yuuki, at which point they would formally discuss the detailed circumstances.

Once the discussion was settled, Stelle relaxed and stood up, noting the darkening sky outside. "Lawyer Kisaki, it's getting late. Let us treat you to dinner; consider it making friends. To be honest, the moment I met you, Lawyer Kisaki, I felt a strong sense of closeness."

As she spoke, Stelle, acting completely at ease, took Kisaki Eri's hand and helped her stand, continuing to charm her with a smile. "Lawyer Kisaki, how about I call you Sister Kisaki? You look so young and beautiful; no one would ever guess you have a twelve-year-old child."

Kisaki Eri did not refuse Stelle's suggestion. She actually had a very favorable impression of the girl—optimistic, sincere, willing to help a stranger regardless of the cost, and charming to talk to. She felt that gaining a younger sister like this would be quite pleasant.

In just a few words, Stelle and Kisaki Eri's relationship rapidly progressed.

By the time they decided where to eat, the two were already walking arm-in-arm, leaning close together as they headed toward the restaurant. Scotland quietly followed behind them.

After eating their fill, Stelle beat Scotland to the punch and went to the counter to pay the bill.

As she was about to return to her seat, she passed a dining table, and a person sitting nearby suddenly leaned and fell toward Stelle.

But Stelle reacted quickly, jumping away before he could touch her.

With a loud "Thud!" the man collapsed onto the floor.

Stelle put her hands on her hips and looked down at the man lying on the floor with displeasure. "Wow! Are you trying to stage a fake accident? Let me tell you, even though I have money, I won't give any to someone as shameless as you."

"Ahhh—"

Just as Stelle was watching the man still lying there, contemplating kicking him a couple of times to see if he would react, the woman dining across from him finally realized what happened and screamed out loud.
