Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Lawyer

What Ogawa Yuu didn't know was that while he felt a significant improvement after eating the 'Sour Dream' brand gummies, his physical condition showed an even more pronounced recovery.

Scotland, who had been quietly watching Stelle's performance, saw Ogawa Yuu's complexion gradually change from pale to rosy right before his eyes.

At first, Scotland genuinely thought Stelle was talking nonsense again. He was ready to wait for Stelle and Ogawa Yuu to finish talking, then go out and ask a doctor about his condition to see if a transfer was needed.

His gaze fell on the empty wrapper of the candy in Ogawa Yuu's hand, and his expression became serious.

Scotland: "Stelle, did Kafka also give you these 'Sour Dream' brand gummies?"

Could this also be a medicine Kafka experimented with? It's so effective, are there no side effects?

Stelle turned to Scotland: "No, I made these myself. What, Midorikawa, do you want some too? I'm afraid that's not possible, this was the last one. I've eaten all my previous candy stock as snacks, and I can't make any more."

Scotland was surprised: "You made them? Stelle, how did you make them? Why can't you make more?"

If they can be eaten as snacks, doesn't that mean there are almost no side effects?

With such an effective medicine that has almost no side effects, Scotland increasingly felt that the Organization, or rather, Kafka's abilities, were unfathomable.

Stelle explained: "Because I don't have the raw materials anymore. 'Sour Dream' brand gummies require 'Quantum Ripple' and 'Serenity' to synthesize, and I don't have those two things right now."

Scotland: "Quantum Ripple" and "Serenity"? What kind of materials are those? He had never heard of them.

Scotland was at a loss for how to respond for a moment.

Seeing that Scotland had no more questions, Stelle looked back at Ogawa Yuu: "Alright, kid, you should be recovered now. I'll leave you some living expenses. Get some good rest, and I'll come back to find you in a while."

After speaking, she ignored Ogawa Yuu's hidden reluctance and left with Scotland.

Leaving the ward and walking down the corridor, they happened to run into Rye and Miyano Akemi, who were a step behind them and had wasted some time asking the medical staff for the ward number.

Miyano Akemi was a little surprised: "Stelle, are you leaving so soon?"

Stelle nodded: "Yes, Ogawa Yuu is almost recovered, and we're going to find a lawyer next."

Rye's eyes flashed. Almost recovered? What did that mean? Wasn't he supposed to be unable to start treatment due to lack of money?

Miyano Akemi had the same question, and she asked it aloud.

Stelle: "Of course, it's because I have special medicine."

After explaining, Stelle wasn't prepared to say much more to Miyano Akemi and the others, nor did she care about seeing them at the hospital.

She pulled Scotland along, continuing to walk, while showing him her phone screen and saying, "I've checked, this lawyer, Eri Kisaki, is very capable and has almost no record of losing cases. We can entrust her to sue Ogawa Yuuki's boss."

Eri Kisaki? Scotland felt like he had heard that name before.

Scotland subconsciously began to recall information about this person.

He had heard Instructor Onizuka mention her; she seemed to be the wife of a senior from his police academy, but they had apparently separated later.

It seemed the possibility of running into someone he knew was very low, and Scotland relaxed the slight tension he had felt.

Rye and Miyano Akemi, who were left behind, did not follow Stelle and Scotland.

They had already arrived at Ogawa Yuu's ward door, preparing to see him before leaving.
