The morning sun bled pale gold through the dorm windows, casting long, lazy shadows across the floorboards.
And well, Rex lay flat on his back in the lower bunk of the bed, staring blankly up at the wooden slats above him while his hands rested behind his head. Lazily…
The lingering ache from his bruising match with Vanya had settled into a dull, manageable throb, but his mind was far more occupied by an existential crisis that had been quietly eating away at him since sunrise.
"Actually... wasn't my goal supposed to be getting expelled as fast as humanly possible?" he muttered to himself, a dry, self-deprecating chuckle slipping past his lips. "So why the hell haven't I gotten kicked out yet?"
A sigh, "If anything, I'm more entangled in this academy's insane social hierarchy than ever." He let out a long, heavy sigh, shifting his weight against the mattress. "I guess... I don't even have a clear goal anymore. So what am I supposed to do now….. ᄒᴥᄒ."
