The two looked at each other and shared a little musical note in Pokemon language before heading towards me as I kicked off the water and sent myself upwards. The three of us broke the surface as one of the larger waves was on its way towards the boardwalk beach. The three of us burst through the surface of the bay in synchronization as the wave crested on its way inwards.
Both Pokemon swam along each side as I flowed across the waves to my next destination, Fugly Bobs. As we got within fifty feet of the boardwalk, I could see multiple people with phones out taking pictures and recording me and my Pokemon for PHO.
Milotic glowed blue along with the waters around us as she sent out a water pulse. With bent knees, I took the boost and I was launched from the water's surface. I flew through the air in a nice arc that sent me up and over the heads of those on the boardwalk. Pulling one leg in, I shifted my center of gravity as I went over the people's heads with a spin before landing on my feet.
Ignoring the cameras, I watched as my two Pokemon flew up from the ocean with nice clean control of the waves, the show-offs. Once they were also on the boardwalk alongside me, it was time to get to Fugly Bobs. Dragonair, being the shy girl that she was, stuck close, while Milotic was very exuberant out and going.
As I did the slow glide down the boardwalk to Fugly Bobs, Milotic marveled at everyone with little tricks as she posed for images. I had to warn off a few people from touching her though because of course, Brockton Bay residents didn't have any self-preservation. Well, Milotic allowed the kids to touch her, since she didn't mind the kids, and neither did I. What I did stop though was a few that wanted to ride her, that's a big no.
Things really changed once I got to Fugly Bobs and started to place orders. For one: I was in a static position and more people were gathering and for the other. I could see the PRT shitty heroes trying to act like they weren't here to keep an eye on me. The other thing I noticed was that Lisa was at the edge of the crowd looking in, I figured it was her since it was the blonde chick radiating the most absolute smugness. There was also the fact that she couldn't read me but she was trying to play it off while fake flirting with the big black teenager with her.
Ignoring her, I went about ordering a few challengers along with the rest of the orders for Mirko and Tsunade. Dragonair got her massive challenger patty first with Milotic getting hers a little bit after. By that time the rest of the orders had been made and packaged for me to carry. I got a little noisy and decided to have my focus hack the call that was going on in the background.
{Tattletale, I'm gathering the Undersiders, I have a mission for you, there is a casino I want to hit tonight and some documents retrieved; your team can keep anything pilfered. Files will be in the usual drop location. Tonight Tattletale. }
Snorting at that, I did a flick of a finger and swapped communication channels.
{~Vista, what is your status on being able to warp space around those creatures?
~That's a negative, even with the area cleared, I'm unable to do anything with the space.
~Militia, approach Mr. Grey, get us an invite to that hospital, also see if he will disclose anything about that radar ping we received out by the tanker.}
After shutting that off, it was real hard for me not to laugh out loud. Piggot might be a bigot but she knew her. Too bad for her, I don't like door to door salesmen
I watched their approach as I leaned against the side of Dragonair who was worried I would go somewhere while she ate. The loveable sea dragon was such a princess that she wouldn't even eat unless I was holding the giant patty for her. Milotic was just happy to have her patty on a plate sitting on a table. So with Dragonair's plate floating before me, I cut the slab of beef into chunks and held up pieces as she happily ate from my hands.
I was feeding Dragonair from one hand with my other resting on Milotic when the hero with an American face scarf walked up. I knew that it was just merchandise and her wearing the flag that way shouldn't tweak me, but I couldn't shake the image of a well placed fist smashing her jaw apart from her head. I might be more patriotic than the average person but I knew the difference between the flag and some shitty scarf.
Doesn't mean I had to like her moronic choice of costume, though, but at least it wasn't as distasteful compared to Homelander's flag cape. Good chance I would have killed him on sheer principle if I was in the Boy's Universe.
Pushing my own personal thoughts on the matter aside, I watched as she walked up.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Grey," Miss Militia stated with her eyes crinkling at the edge to show she was smiling.
I tilted my head at her, "Militia." I stated while looking over her shoulder at one, then the other heroic aligned cape acting as her backup. The red one had to be Velocity and the other had to be Triumph, I could see the lion's mane around his head.
