The Unagi screamed. After all, when a harpoon suddny pierce ones body, who wouldn't? It yelled in pain, blasting a jet of high pressure water at the direction the harpoon came from. But it didn't matter, for Zuko was already on the move.
His swords by his side, a harpoon in his hand, and three more over his back with ropes trailing back made him appear like a time travelling prehistoric hunter ready to take on a mammoth single handedly. All he needed to complete that image was a wooly mammoth overcoat.
Slap slap
His bare feet struck the wet water surface as he blitzed towards the unagi at speeds unprecepteble to naked eyes before jumping up high and stabbing the second harpoon deep into it's body that was just under water.
He immediately kicked off the body, and good thing too, because the next moment, a powerful jet of water blasted the place. If the harpoon was not rope deep in the sea serpents body, it would no doubt have broken off.
"I should've taken off my clothes when I had the chance."
Zuko commented as he emerged from underwater, barely escaping the thrashing sea serpents tail. Taking a deep breath, he dived down once more, emerging from the opposite side of the sea serpent before throwing another harpoon.
Putch
Again, he dived down, like a weird and deadly whack a mole shooting harpoons at any part of the sea serpent he had his eyes on.
'He shoots, and he scores!'
Zuko dived down once more, he had two more harpoons to throw. All the others, all ten were already biting sea serpent flesh. Stepping on the boat he had placed his last harpoons, he grabbed the two before diving down once more.
'That's weird.'
He could no longer see the sea serpent. Had it dived down? Although the water was blurry, he couldn't see a dark shadow. Where had it gone?
For some reason, he remembered the famous line,"it's right behind me, isn't it?"
'Nah..not possible...but then why do I hear the sound splashing behind me?'
Zuko, slowly..tentatively turned around to see the massive Sea serpent moving like a torpedo , the jaws open wide enough to swallow a train in whole wide open.
'I have become error,'
He hauled ass, swimming to the surface as fast as he could. The human sized teeth filled death trap just meters away from him as he broke the surface.
The thing was huge. Much larger than he had thought, or rather, had not thought. The thing's eye was as big as his entire body.
He flipped above the snake's head, grabbing it's top fin before swinging himself down taking out it's eye. As he fell, Zuko gripped it's beard before swinging himself at its neck.
Spinning himself like a beyblade, he infused chi into his swords before swinging past the snake, cutting a massive chunk out of its neck. He sailed down in the same momentum, Swan diving as he came close to the water surface from about a hundred meters of height.
But Zuko had no time to rest. Because the moment he fell into the water, a pair of yellow eyes followed.
Sploosh
Water erupted like a gyser as the snake dived in, it's gaze locked on Zuko, promising murder as it chased him. Zuko didn't look back.
Breaching the surface, he inhaled deeply, making his chest swell abnormally as he intook air.
Four gorilla
Not just the arms, even Zuko's leg muscles balloned outward, transforming the human into a human torpedo that broke through the waves matching the sea serpent's speed.
Come and get me
Zuko swam faster and faster. He could feel the serpent at his heels. Closing in every second. He looked forward, his destination at sight. He could feel Unagi just a few hundred meters away, a distance that would be closed in a second, and he pumped his muscles. He had to get on solid ground to use his strongest moves. His eyes were locked on the rocks that jutted out of the sea in the middle of the thick straight inbetween Kyoshi island and the small iland.
Come on
His strokes struck the water harder, making loud splashes as he shot foreward.
Come on
The distance between the two shortened even more. Zuko could hear the sound of two girls yelling, to grab the Unagi's attention to no avail.
Just a little more
The rocks were just at arm's reach, but the snake was on top of him. He heard the girls scream, their voices filled with fear and desperation. The snake opened its massive maw, capable of swallowing a train whole, and moved moved forward, it's shadows casting the darkness of doom over Zuko as he desperately swam. His death was certain.
And now
Zuko gripped the marked stone. The same time, the ropes came to an end, and the harpoons yanked the serpent back, making it rear it's head back in pain and fury.
Zuko gripped the stone harder, using the stone as leverage to launch himself at the cliff while exhausting more than half of his chi. His feet sank into the hard cliff and his arms found themselves at his sword hilt.
The harpoons snapped, as Unagi pulled, barely providing the resistance of a chopstick infront of its might. But by then, it was too late.
Zuko's swords shone in a blinding red as he pumped all he had, his eyes glowing in a deep red as his body overloaded with all his torrential stream of chi.
BOOM
The cliff shattered as Zuko pushed off the hard earth , dissapearing from naked eye in pure speed.
"Oden nitoryu, paradise fall"
The red flashed, and the cliff on the receiving side was carved away. Mountains of rocks soil and trees avalanched into the sea that was red with the blood of the massive sea serpent.
Splash
The head of the massive creature fell slowly, almost as if it tried to deny the fact that it had been separated from it's body.
Meanwhile, Zuko grinned as he tried to dislodge himself from the cliff wall, spitting dirt and blood while gripping roots for support.
"Heh heh, all according to cake."
He waved his arm at the Kyoshi warriors who stood on the cliff shore with their mouths open in disbelief.
"HEY, CAN YOU GET ME OUT OF HERE. I DON'T THINK I CAN MOVE". Zuko paused, looking at his arm that flapped away like a wet noodle. "ALSO, CAN YOU CALL YOUR MEDIC, I THINK MY ARMS GOT A COUPLE OF BENDS THAN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO."
