The sun shone brilliantly on the sea, making the water shimmer with waves. Gulls called and a constant soft wind swept through the beach cooling down a sweltering Zuko.
He was staring intently at something in the ocean, which was actually a dead elephant koi tied to thick and long rope. The rope itself stretched from the far sea while it's other end was tied to boulder next to Zuko. He was fishing. But it wasn't just any catch he was going after, it the biggest catch there was.
Fishing..... it's not just about throwing in a bait and then pulling in the prey. It required proper tools, Like a strong rope. It required the proper bait, an elephant koi would do the trick in this case. It required a patient and skilled fisherman, or himself at the moment, Zuko mused as he lied in the boulders shade .
It's been close to two hours since Zuko had laid out the bait and the Unagi had yet to appear.
'Does it prefer live bait?'
Zuko pondered off handedly while keeping his gaze locked on the giant dead fish. His plan was simple. Use a bait to bring out the Unagi in an advantageous position, use the metal hook inside to keep it closer to surface and restrain it's movements and then get down there and chop it into pieces.
Only the damned thing showed no signs of appearing.
'Guess it's time for plan B'
With a that, he stood up, and walked back a few hundred meters, then crouched down to a starting position for a sprint. Maybe even a little bit more....intense as he spread his bent knees and touched the ground with his finger tips, posing .
"What are you doing?"
"Bloody duck!"
A swear? Left Zuko as he was startled out of his skin the moment he tried to take a leap.
"Ok?" It was Yanna. Along with her stood Suki, fully dressed in their combat gear and the metal fans.
"Stupid metal fans" or at least that was what Zuko wanted to say. But since he had face planted so hard, what came out was close to 'fuhis meha fass'.
Thwip thwip
Spitting out sand from his mouth, Zuko stood up while shaking his head and rubbing his face. The sand... it was everywhere. Everywhere.
"What do you want? " he glared at the unwanted interruption. "Can't you see I'm busy at the moment? "
"You broke out of prison."
Suki pointed out.
" Because you put me there for no reason." Shot back Zuko as he put his little finger in his ear.
"And you broke May's ribs."
"That was an accident!"
"And I heard that you bought lots of rope and harpoons?"
"To catch fish, obviously."
He ran his fingers down his hair as he tried to get the sand out. It's freaking everywhere.
Suki looked around to see twelve thick harpoons with their ends tied to trees. The head was metal while the body was made with wood, but the things yet looked heavier than your normal harpoons. While three were on the ground, he could see that a few were already in the water, floating above pieces of wood.
"How did you break out of prison in the first place?"
Yanna asked. The place looked as if something had broken the wall with brute force .
"I broke the walls, duh?"
"Impossible!"
"What can i say" he spread his arms not at all ashamed or worried. "Im just that awesome."
"Whooosh!"
Their chat was interrupted by an emerging Unagi. And Zuko's eyes began to shine once more. Bending down to pickup a harpoon, he was stopped by a livid Suki who looked as if she was about to eat him alive.That face was clear even through the makeup. It's the same face a brother makes when they find out their younger brother used their PC.
"What are you doing?"
"Catching fish." Zuko replied the obvious answer while pulling the harpoon.
"Are you crazy? " Suki pulled back, this time along with Yanna. But Zuko had enough. His prime catch was on the line.
He pushed chi into his muscles making them pop along with the eyes of the Kyoshi warriors.
"Just sit there tight and watch me. I'm about to go on the manliest fishing trip ever so make sure to cheer from the sidelines."
'One gorilla

"Hup!"
The harpoon flew like a bullet, followed by two more, breaking past the sound barrier before piercing into the Unagi's flesh. He turned around and smirked.
"You lot better have some good sushi chefs"
Bang!
And he was gone.
