The black mist swallowed the battlefield whole, extinguishing even Elysira's moonlight as Omnis emerged from a pile of rubble, his Red Eye suit shattered and dark smoke billowing from his neck. Across the field, Poison Queen stood atop a fractured pillar, her sword held low, both of them locked in a deadly stare with the unmoving alien a matte black carbon-crystal entity pulsing with blue veins and leaking molten gold from its joints.
With terrifying speed, the alien lunged, its claw strike aimed directly at Poison Queen's throat; she countered with a horizontal sword snap, sliding backward on her boots to avoid the blow. "Fast enough," she muttered, flipping mid-air to fire three poison needles at the creature's joints, only for them to shatter instantly against its impenetrable form.
Omnis rushed from the flank, merging Mimic speed with Red Eye bursts to strike the alien's spine from a blind angle, the clash sounding like iron grinding against a mountain. The alien retaliated with a backhand that sent Omnis flying ten meters into a crash, the hero spitting blood as he struggled to rise.
The ground erupted with spiderweb cracks and molten light as the alien punched the earth, targeting Omnis who activated his black mist to disrupt the creature's vision. Poison Queen seized the opening, cannonball-jumping from a cliff to drive her glowing sword into the alien's neck joint, cracking its shield but failing to penetrate deeper.
A violent head jerk followed, slamming Poison Queen to the ground with a dent in her helmet and blood streaming from her forehead. In a desperate move, she grabbed Omnis's legs and swapped positions, forcing the alien's next strike to land squarely on Omnis's stomach, opening a deep, bleeding gash.
Omnis barely scrambled out of range before Poison Queen dashed forward, delivering a kick so powerful it shattered much of his faceplate and sliced his facial muscles. The alien punched again, and as Omnis attempted to switch places, Poison Queen intercepted the blow with her shield, sending Omnis flying once more.
Suddenly, Poison Queen thrust her sword at Omnis's kidney, but his suit absorbed the impact and diverted the blade; she followed with a brutal combo of elbow strikes, knee blows, and reverse slashes that cut through his armor, only for Omnis to headbutt her nose, cracking it before she spat blood and hurled him toward the creature.
"Ooh! Not again!" Omnis roared in fury.
The alien punched through the mist, and Omnis, using Mimic to copy the motion, landed on the creature's arm, rode the momentum, and drove a poison thrust into a molten joint, injecting his own tainted essence into the beast.
Poison Queen watched with greedy fascination. "He has poison abilities too, and he can inject it anywhere with his nails..."
The poison briefly took hold, enraging the alien, but it was quickly expelled from the injection site. "Who am I fighting? When will someone finally admit defeat?" Omnis thought in frustration.
Both heroes began to retreat, assessing their battered forms: Omnis had lost three swords and cracked a fourth, leaving him with only two, while Poison Queen's leg armor was shattered.
"Are these your people?" Omnis asked.
"Perhaps," Poison Queen replied.
"Sending all this for just one guy? That's a waste on such a beautiful lady like you," Omnis scoffed.
"Don't worry," she grinned, "killing and eating you will taste unique."
Before the exchange could end, the alien unleashed a massive shockwave, sending both heroes tumbling down a cliff where Poison Queen's left leg cracked upon impact.
The creature grabbed them both, attempting to crush their skulls, but their suits held firm. As the dark mist thinned under the relentless assault, Poison Queen vanished into the fog, reaching the alien's neck before a devastating punch to her chest shattered her ribs and sprayed blood from her mouth.
"Copying," she gasped, summoning a card,"Thief!"
"Mirror!" Omnis countered, activating his Mimic.
The alien charged, but Omnis used a wind burst to alter the trajectory, allowing Poison Queen to land on its shoulder and deliver three rapid slashes to the neck seam. A hand sweep missed thanks to Omnis dragging the wrist with a black mist tendril, and Poison Queen plunged her sword's cracked tip into the collar gap, releasing molten gold.
"Bleed!" she screamed.
The alien shook violently, launching Poison Queen into the air. She ducked and struck the stomach core, while Omnis kicked the knee joint, staggering the beast before delivering a double hit with his Mimic ability.
The alien spread its arms, releasing a sonic shockwave that made Omnis bleed from the ears and knocked Poison Queen off balance.
Summoning earth spikes, water blades, and poison threads, Poison Queen combined them with a swirling fire stream, finally cracking the alien's shield.
Omnis jammed a broken blade into the chest seam, but the alien crushed his shoulder, cracking bones until Poison Queen's poison-laced knee forced a loose grip, sending Omnis crashing down with a useless left arm.
She threw a fallen spear at the alien's eye, but it caught and reverse-threw it, embedding the weapon in Omnis's calf.
As the alien advanced, Poison Queen grabbed Omnis and hurled him directly into the creature, sending him flying upon impact.
Poison Queen leaped onto the beast's back, driving her thumbs into the molten shoulder seams. The alien bucked violently, but Omnis drove a spear into its ankle joint, causing the creature to spin in silent rage before Poison Queen was thrown off, crashing hard.
"Finally, the fun begins," Poison Queen said with a creepy smile, cracking her neck.
"You're mentally ill," Omnis replied, wiping away blood.
"Are you still alive, brat?" Poison Queen asked with a creepy and greedy smile.
