Chapter 60 - When Gods Cross the Line

"Watch your words, mortal," Thor said coldly. "This is a matter of Asgard. It does not concern you."

"Oh? Hitting a nerve already, Your Thunderous Highness?" Antony replied calmly. He pointed at the faint red energy filament linking Jessica Jones and Jane Foster.

"Or have you not noticed that something is seriously wrong with them?"

Only then did Thor truly look at Jessica—and the eerie connection binding the two women.

He frowned, stepping forward, placing a hand lightly on Jane's shoulder.

"This energy…"

Thor's expression changed instantly.

"This is not of Earth," he said gravely. "It is an ancient power from beyond the Nine Realms. It is protecting itself—and devouring them at the same time."

He looked from Jane to Jessica.

"Earth's technology cannot save them," Thor decided. "I must take them to Asgard."

"Asgard?" Jane blinked. "You mean… you're taking me to meet your family?"

"This is about saving your life," Thor said seriously.

He stepped forward, reaching for them.

"I'm taking them with me."

"Hold it."

A hand shot out, stopping him.

Antony stood between them, the smile gone. His ocean-blue eyes were cold.

"Taking Jane Foster? Fine. She's your girlfriend."

Then Antony pointed at Jessica.

"But her—Queen Jones—is mine."

"You are not taking her."

"Starr!" Jessica said, startled and strangely touched. "He says he can fix this!"

Antony glanced back at her, his voice soft, steady.

"He says he can, so you believe him? Jessica—do you trust an alien god who abandoned his girlfriend on Earth for two years… or me?"

"I…"

Jessica froze.

"She must come," Thor stepped forward, lightning crackling faintly around Mjolnir. "This power is unstable. If left untreated, they could both die. Only Asgard has the means to contain it."

"I don't believe you."

Antony did not move an inch.

"You say Earth's tech isn't enough?" He sneered. "Then you're underestimating Earth—and you're underestimating me."

"I have the best biotech labs on the planet. The sharpest minds alive. We will fix this."

"And another thing," Antony's smile turned sharp.

"You want to take her off-world? What if something goes wrong? What if Asgard fails and discards her like garbage?"

"I won't let Jessica leave my sight. Not even for a second."

Jessica stared at his broad back, warmth spreading through her chest.

This bastard… when it really counts, he's actually reliable.

What Antony was really thinking, though, was far simpler:

Let him take her to Asgard? Are you kidding me? If the Reality Stone ends up in Odin's backyard, how the hell am I supposed to steal it?

No. She stays on Earth.

"Then… maybe Mr. Starr comes with us?" Jane suggested weakly.

"No." Thor cut her off instantly. "Asgard is not a place mortals may enter freely."

Antony silently exhaled in relief.

"Stand aside, Homelander," Thor said, patience gone. "You have no idea what you're facing. This is bigger than their lives. It may threaten all Nine Realms."

"I said no."

Antony's boots slowly lifted from the ground. His eyes began to glow red—heat vision charging.

"This is Earth, Thor."

"My territory."

"And here—I make the rules."

"Even if you're a god…"

"You follow them."

A killing intent filled the air.

BOOM—!

Two overwhelming auras collided.

The God of Thunder.

And Earth's self-crowned god.

Dust trembled. The air itself screamed.

Darcy quietly backed away fifty meters.

Jane and Jessica, caught between them, felt like cookies about to be crushed between tectonic plates.

"Tony was right," Jessica muttered bitterly. "These two… really are a meteor hitting Earth."

Thor tightened his grip on Mjolnir, lightning blazing in his eyes.

"I do not wish to hurt you, mortal. But for Jane—I will do anything."

"Mortal?"

Antony laughed.

"Then you've made your first mistake, Odinson."

"Let's see whose weapon is harder—your hammer…"

"…or my fists."

The clash was inevitable.

Suddenly—

The world froze.

A sharp electric tingle ran up Antony's spine. Every hair on his body stood on end.

Spider-sense.

No thought. No calculation.

Pure instinct.

WHOOSH—!!!

A thunder-wrapped warhammer screamed past Antony's chest—so close it displaced the air against his ribs.

BOOM!!!

Mjolnir punched through three factory walls behind him and vanished into the distance.

Antony hovered midair, eyes snapping cold.

"Shit… miscalculated."

He cursed inwardly.

In his past life, he'd watched the movies—thought Mjolnir topped out at hypersonic missile speeds.

Wrong.

Mjolnir was an Odin-enchanted artifact—magic and physics fused.

Its initial acceleration, powered by divine lightning, was absurdly fast.

His top speed might be Mach 105—but that was sustained flight, not reaction startup.

If not for that borrowed Spidey reflex… that hammer would've hit him clean.

Maybe it wouldn't break him.

But getting knocked around in front of two women?

Unacceptable.

"Impressive reflexes, mortal," Thor said as Mjolnir roared back into his hand. "You're more than a flying egomaniac."

Thor rolled his wrist, eyes blazing with battle-hardened fury.

"I retract my earlier words. You are… stronger than I expected."

"Mortal?"

Antony cracked his neck, joints popping.

"Thor… you've made your second mistake."

Seven… assemble.

Ding!

Detected nearby team members: Homelander, Queen Jones (2/7)

Team Assembly activated.

Current amplification: 100%.

BOOM—!!

A monstrous surge of power erupted from Antony's cells.

He curled a finger at Thor.

"Come on, Odinson."

"You've got my attention now."

"Let's see if your golden brain sparks when I knock it loose."

"INSOLENCE!"

Thor roared, lightning engulfing him as he launched skyward, Mjolnir raised high—

—and brought it down with the wrath of a god.
