Bella's POV
I froze mid-step, and Daisy gasped beside me, her breath catching in fear.
She shot me a nervous glance, taking in the storm brewing on my face. I gave her a subtle signal to handle the situation.
Daisy steeled herself and stepped forward, her voice sharp with authority. "How dare you, worthless servants! Have you completed your duties? Standing here spreading gossip? Do you want to face punishment? Leave immediately!"
She gestured for the young maid to go, but Martha moved to block their escape route.
The two servants hiding behind the stone garden hadn't anticipated being discovered and immediately dropped into terrified bows.
"Daisy, please, we beg your mercy..."
I approached them slowly, my expression ice-cold and authoritative. "Which household do you serve?"
The trembling maids could only plead desperately. "Lady Bella, please show us mercy! We swear we'll never repeat this mistake!"
