Chapter 5 - 5: Ryukiyo

"Stand up." The elf mumbled and rose to his feet. "If you're from a different world, then I must know what it is like there."

"What?" Rukiyo blinked, feeling lost.

He looked down at Rukiyo, his golden irises narrowing. "You're a mortal from a world different from mine, are you not?"

She wasn't sure what he was trying to say the first time, but after a second had passed and when she understood what he wanted from her, she immediately scrambled to get on her feet.

"Yes, I am.." She mumbled, balancing herself on her feet, but all of a sudden, a wave of nausea hit her and cut her off, her vision swimming and blurring as her world suddenly turned.

Oh, fuck—

Rukiyo cussed in herself in her mind, her eyesight blocked by darkness when her eyes fluttered closed.

Then, she felt her face hit the grass first before the sound of her body falling on the ground with a dull thud, which was followed by a rustle caused by the grass, hit her ears.

Rukiyo groaned, eyes prickling with tears. "It hurts.. Why does my head hurt, man?"

The elf frowned deeply, observing the way Rukiyo quivered in her spot and teared up like some pathetic human crybabies.

"The Dragoness' body doesn't feel pain, mortal." The elf spoke up, his voice that was void of emotions sound like grates for her ears. "Deal with it and don't dare let them know that you're someone different now."

The elf's words were icy, obviously displeased at the fact that she's not Ryukiyo.

It was confusing. The elves shouldn't be upset about Ryukiyo's body being inhabited by someone else now, right? Shouldn't they be celebrating now that their tormentor is gone?

Rukiyo slowly pushed herself off the ground, her eyes glossy with tears, but she looked up and turned to the elf, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Why shouldn't I?" She couldn't help, but ask.

She had lived her life breaking her back for the people who didn't appreciate her.. So she wanted to live this new life of hers as peacefully as she could, but how can she do that when the elf before her is telling her to not tell others that she's no longer the dragon they know?

I have to let them know that I'm not the dragon who forced them to marry her and have to let them go before anything else happens. She thought, her hands clenching into fists as she stood up completely.

If she's not wrong, the reason why she's in a grassy field with one of Ryukiyo's elven husbands was because she wanted to try mating with him.

The thought of doing the deed in an open space where people can walk into them while they were in the middle of it had set Ryukiyo's veins on fire, her groin firing up and making her unable to think of anything else, but feeling one of the elves' length inside her.

Ryukiyo is a dragon that only thinks with the flesh between her legs. After all, she's the only dragon living in the mortal realm now.

She noticed right away that over the millennium, her kind— which consisted of five dragons when they descended from the heavenly realm, had started dwindling.

Dragons don't really die. They live as long as they want and can't escape their long lifespan, but despite that.. They still have the choice to be reborn once their time comes and when they do choose to get reborn, they will start off in the heavenly realm again.

Ryukiyo didn't want to die, so she was planning to extend her lifespan by bearing dragon children.

But there's one problem.. Ryukiyo found pleasure in eating elves and humans alike— not caring if they were begging for mercy because she liked seeing the fearful expressions on the lower races' faces.

Of course, Ryukiyo is very different from Rukiyo.

She doesn't want to eat anyone or fuck anyone and would rather live this life as peacefully as she could without being a hindrance to other races, but to do that, she has to let them know that they are no longer needed in her domain, right?

There are ten elves in total. Rukiyo thought, eyes glaring straight into the elf's golden eyes.

And this should be one of them.. But who is this guy? I can't remember much about that goddamn book anymore. Rukiyo hissed in her mind, cursing herself for writing such an embarrassing piece of novel during her highschool days.

"Informing everyone that you're not a goddess would put us in danger." The elf suddenly spoke up, the corner of his lips tugging into a slight scowl.

Goddess.. Right, dragons are considered gods and goddesses in this book's universe. Rukiyo thought, sweat dropping as she stared back at the elf's golden eyes.

"Alright then." Rukiyo mumbled and averted her gaze. "How about I let the other elves know that they're free to go?"

A beat of silence passed, the elf didn't say anything which set off the alarm in Rukiyo's head.

"You.."

A minute after, the elf stepped forward and grabbed Rukiyo's wrist, his hand squeezing her limb tightly. "How did you know about the other elves? Aren't you a mortal? From another world?"

The elf was obviously distressed and angered, and it was clear that he was trying to intimidate her by trying to overpower her physically, but the way he squeezed her wrist.. It felt like a soft tickle on her skin, so she couldn't help, but wondered if it was supposed to feel like this.

"That won't work on me." Rukiyo stated flatly and shook off the elf's grip on her wrist. "I think you're forgetting about the fact that I'm a human in a dragon's body."

The truth she had uttered made the elf flinch and Rukiyo swore that she heard his breath hitch.

"Mortals.. Or whatever you call humans, they tend to be emotional." Rukiyo pointed out with a small smile. "If I get scared and act recklessly, wouldn't you agree with me that it will be over for you?"
