Hunter walked Hannah to the door. After that, Hannah left. Hunter climbed the bed later and pulled Claire into his embrace. He hugged her to sleep and rubbed her abdomen. Around midnight when they were still asleep, Hunter felt her moving and woke up instantly.
"Hey, what are you doing? Are you still in pain?" Claire nodded her head slightly.
Hunter reached out for the hot water bag and felt it was cold.
"Stay here. I'll go make put some warm water and bring it to you. Stay put. "
Hunter went to the kitchen and added warm water to the hot water bag and went back to bed and found Claire wincing in pain. He placed the bag on her abdomen and the pain she was feeling eased. Hunter pulled her to his embrace, covering her with his warmth. She felt safe in his arms and placed and allowed herself to be close to him.
Hunter woke up three times after feeling that Claire was in discomfort. Hunter was always accustomed to taking care of women whenever they were sick especially to those who were important to him. He had been taking care of Asher whenever she was on her menses although she liked complaining a lot to him. She could tell her that she was not massaging right or that he was troublesome. Maybe it was a good thing that I had broken up with her. Hunter thought to himself.
It was morning already and Hunter didn't feel like leaving Claire's embrace. Claire woke up and saw Hunter still hugging her.
"If you don't go to work now, you will be late. ''
"I am taking care of the CEO of the company; I can still get a week off since I am taking care of my girlfriend. "
"You have to go to work, if you don't, I will dock your payment. "
Hunter looked deep in her eyes, and something just pushed him to kiss Claire. She didn't refuse his advances and kissed him back. Claire crossed her hands round his neck and continued kissing him with passion. There was some fire in her eyes and needed him to switch off the fire that he had started. Hunter noticed that there were beads of sweat on her forehead. He stopped kissing her. Claire wondered what he did wrong and why he had paused. She felt that pain in her lower abdomen and reached for it.
"Are you still in pain?"
Claire nodded her head slightly.
"I'll go and put warm water in the hot water bag. " Claire just nodded.
'How long does it last?"
"5-7 days. " Claire said weakly.
Hunter went to the kitchen and made breakfast as he warmed water. After cooking, he heard the doorbell ring. he opened the door to find Hanah there.
"Good morning?"
"Morning. "
"Has she woken up?"
"Yes. She is still in pain though."
"Ok. I'll go see her."
"Take this to her and put it on her abdomen. It will ease the pain he is feeling. " He said handing her the hot water bag.
"Ok."
